He always considered the first change in their lives was their mother's death – their father leaving them was somewhat expected anyway. It drove home the meaning of Winry's loss, although why it had taken him so long, he had no idea.

But the real turning point was when they decided – it was naive and very stupid, he knew now – to bring their mother back to life. That decision had led to many painful consequences, and subsequent changes, in their lives.

Now they're about to uncover secrets of the Homonculus, which might mean a change for the better... or their demise.
