Thunder booming in the skies, as Link was looking down at the people walking by, "I'm sorry Navi," he whispered to himself as his tears was rolling down his cheeks, mixing in with the rain. "I have to do it." he said than taking a closer step to the ledge. He was about to jump... until he heard her voice crying out to him,

"What are you doing?"

It was the last voice he wanted to hear, his Fairy Guardian, Navi. Link turned around, away from the ledge, "Navi, I broke the rules!" he told her over the thunder. "What are you talking about?" Navi cried out, afraid of what he was about to do.

"'If the Child falls in love with his or her Guardian, than the Guardian will slowly turn into a human'." Link reminded her, explaining his reason for what he was about to do. "I don't understand!" Navi cried out, struggling to speak.

Link stepped down from the ledge, " I heard you saying that you was thinking of leaving." he explained. "And..." he went on, trying to find the courage to say the words. "What?" Navi cried out.

"I didn't want you to leave because... I love you!" Link told her, surprising her.

Navi gasped when she heard Link confess his love for her. "Link," she said softly, going toward him. "You would have hurt me deeply if you jumped." she said softly, tears falling down her cheek. "I had too, Navi." Link told her. "I couldn't bear the idea of you not being my Guardian anymore." he said than looking at the ground in shame.

"Link... Link, look at me." Navi said softly. He slowly look up and saw Navi's tear-filled eyes, "I care about you more than a Guardian should." she told him as her wings started to slowly fade away.

"I would rather become a human than to see you in so much pain," she continued, her wings now hardly visible.

"Why Navi, why would you become a human than to remain a Guardian?" Link asked, wondering why she was saying those things.

"Because Link, I love you!" she said finally, her wings now gone... making her a human too.

"I love you with all my heart Link." Navi told him, hugging him tightly.

Wrapping his hands around her, he replied,

"I love you too Navi."
