"Hello Ms. Pye." Said the investigator.

"Call me Josie." The woman said while shaking the man's hand.

"Josie. Why don't you take a seat right here." He gestured to the desk in the middle of the nearly empty room.

"Sure." She consented.

" Do you mind if I ask you a few questions about the disappearance of a Ms. Anne Shirley?" He asked.

"Why? I don't spend much time with her." Josie answered with a question.

"Everyone who last saw her needs to give an account of their connection to her and the last time they saw her."He explained.

"Alright." Josie proceeded to tell her story.

Okay so what if I am not the goodie two shoes type? People still like me right? Not at all. In fact that is like the farthest thing from the truth. People just tolerate me. Take Gilbert Blythe for example. When he came back to Avonlea he let me hang around him. More like hang on him actually. Even then I was conscious that I was not liked, so I tried to compensate by trying to get the cutest and oldest boy in my class to like me. He to tolerated my presence. Much like one would tolerate a bug. Sure they let you crawl around their home for a while, but as soon as they get the chance... WHAM! Your in the trash squished in a paper towel.

And if that isn't enough evidence that people don't like me, consider Anne Shirley. She and I were never 'friends'. Heck I barely knew her really outside of school. We were dancing on each others nerves to put it lightly. There were only ever two people she ever hated. Those two people were Gilbert Blythe and myself.

"Her husband?" The investigator raised an eyebrow.

"Yes. She hated him since the first word he ever said to her." Josie explained.

"What word was that?" He pried further.

"Carrots." She smirked.

"Carrots?!" He laughed heartily.

"I know funny. Anyway..." She resumed.

We were like this until the Entrance exams pass list came out. She forgave Gil.

"Wait... It says in her records she passed that give years after her arrival in Avonlea." Was her chronology off?

"Right. Five years of stubborn hatred." She chuckled.

Anne and I stayed on outs however, and she became rather close with Gilbert. Two years in Avonlea teaching and they went off to Redmond. Two years after that he proposed. She rejected him.

"But she married him." He stammered in disbelief.

"After two more years. Filled with rich beaus for the both of them and misunderstanding." She clarified.

They waited three years and married. Then they came back from Glen St. Mary with two children and Gil took over the Avonlea Medical Practice. The last I saw of her was at the school's bake sale for new textbooks.

"Is that all you need?" She asked when she was done.

" I think so. Thank you for your time." He answered.

She opened the door and left.
