I was bored and decided to do this little tribute to matt's final moments before getting caught and shot.

Matt threw the smoke bomb out the window and drove off with a screech, he heard the cars start up and come after him, he smiled as he took a drag on his ciggrette. He took a left and tossed it out the window, the cars won't stop he felt like he was in a racing game of his, speaking of that he needed to finish his game on his psp when he got back. He took a hard right as one of the cars crash, "50 points!" He shouted deciding to make this interesting. Mello has to give him his chocolate money after this then he could go buy a game or two since he made him come out and do this. He made another right as a second car crashed then a third hit that one, each one was fine but he didn't really care, "Combo bonus! 200 points!" He shouted again as he took another turn.
He saw another car chase him, he was lucky Mello gave him this fast car to use, they can't keep up with his speed, he was too fast and too furious. He laughed at the joke he made as he saw a blockade ahead, he made another turn and decided to press full down on the gas pedal. He had half a tank left so he could spare some with this quick burst, the cars couldn't keep up as they slowly dissappeared from his sight, he smiled as he saw a huge blockade of cars ahead. He slammed on the brakes and came to a stop, he got out with his hands up as he smiled and spoke to them, "Now now lets put those guns away you need me to tell you where Taka-" He was shot once, "You need to understand what happens to those who defy Kira." One said as he began to reach for his gun, they shot him before Matt could get it, they unloaded their clips into him as his vest was stained in blood. He reached back into his vest and pulled out a ciggrette, he lit it up and took a final drag on it.
He began to remember his life as he saw his entire life go before his eyes in mere seconds, he remembered Mello calling him Matt instead of his real name, he remembered being the third successor for L. He remembered talking to L through a computer though he really didn't talk to him he watched the others do such. He smiled and closed his eyes as his ciggrette fell out of his lips, he sighed and as the ciggrette hit the ground he found peace, he leaned against his car and died. Only one thing lingered in his mind as he passed, 'Mello, sorry i wasn't able to get away...' The last thing he heard was a helicopter then the news flashed into Mello's mini T.V. "I'm sorry i got you killed Matt." Was all Mello said, he turned off the T.V. and continued driving.
