Erm...so copyright!

-This poem was inspired by the Hunger Games which was written by Suzanne Collins-

Other than the above, I was the one who wrote the poem ;D

Hunger Games' Scent of Death

Lying here dying,

The scent of death draws near.

If I were one of the strong,

struggling, straining, striving,

I would try to defy that scent of death.

If I were one of the weak,

whimpering, whining, and weeping

I would simply cry in that scent of death.

My candlelight is fading.

Shadows engulf my soul.

But it's strange,

I just feel like sighing

in that scent of death.

Background info: I was trying to capture the essence of death in the Hunger Games (or maybe just life in general?) from different points of views. Maybe death isn't destructive or terrifying, maybe it's just...a sigh.

~I didn't mean to offend anyone in the making of this poem and I'm so(!) sorry if I did.~

If anybody wants a request, or any poem about a specific HG subject, please post it in the comments!
I may or may not accept requests and I'm a bit fuzzy in the 2nd and 3rd book (so i might not take requests that have subjects that take place in Catching Fire or Mockingjay). :P

If you want a specific type of poem, I can really only do haikus (besides just freelance poems...), heh. I'm not skilled enough to do sonnets yet :)

I haven't really done requests before, so I'm sorry if I mess up your idea!
