Pudding awoke with a start, sweat beading on her forehead…
W-What just happened…?
She stared ahead of her and into the darkness before she quickly grabbed the small cell phone on her bedside table. Fumbling around with the small golden phone, she managed to dial a number… the only number she had memorized by heart. The phone was shaking in her hand.
Taruto was sleeping peacefully before a beeping noise next to him disturbed his slumber. He groaned and reached over to the bedside table. It took him a few tries before he managed to grab a hold of the cellular device and he yawned as he stared at the glowing screen, the only thing that lit the room besides his alarm clock.
"Pudding?" He muttered at the name that appeared on the screen before glancing at the clock. "Its three in the morning… what could she want?" He then flipped the phone up. "Hello? Pudding? Its three, I was sleeping, what do you want?"
The only sound he could hear was her breath, was she hyperventilating? It sure sounded like it. "Pudding? Pudding Hello? Are you there?"
Why was his blood rushing cold? …She still wasn't talking, but he could hear her breath, and… faint sobbing? Was she crying?
Fear began to engulf him. "Pudding! Hello!? Answer me!"

Finally, her voice came from the other end of the lines, hollow, shaken, and raged… she spoke four words… words that would forever stay embedded in Taruto's mind for years to come, through all the pain and misery they were soon to endure…

"We're all gonna die…"
