Black Lace
Ahsoka smiled as Barris Offee helped her to dress; Barris had been her best friend in the years after the Fall of the Jedi.
Order 66 had devasted every forcesensitive being who knew what was happening, and Ahsoka had just started to recover when she met Rex.
He had deserted, not able to carry out the order, letting her escape, and putting a bounty on his own head.
But all that didn't matter now, exactly 3263287 hours since Ahsoka and Rex had first met, they were getting married.
It had been a wonderful time spent together, but with Rex's accelerated aging, they knew they would have to get married. Before it was too late.
But Ahsoka had a beautiful, elegant, feminine dress, and she was about to be married to the love of her life. It still hurt, losing the Order, but she would cope. She had too.
Barris was coping alot better than her, at first, but when Rex came back, Ahsoka became her bright self again.
"Oh, Ahsoka." Barris said, wiping a tear from her eye as she put the veil over Ahsoka's lekku. "I just feel like your mother, or Master Skywalker, or even Master Luminara should be doing this."
"I agree, Barris, but we're all eachother's got now."
Barris smiled, asking her, "Ahsoka, why is your dress black? Remind me again."
"Oh, Barris, because of all Anakin has become. Because of everything that has happened; to us, to the Jedi order."
"Ahsoka, this is supposed to be the happiest day of your life."
"But it is, Barris, it is."
Ahsoka stepped through the doors, and walked up to the Captain. No, her captain.
She loved him with all her heart, and she knew that she did as she said I do; she loved him for the rest of her shortlived life; and he loved her for the time that was so unfairly ended together;
For when she died, he followed soon after; neither one could survive without the other.
People say Anakin and Padme were the saddest relationship in the galaxy.
In all truth, that right goes to Ahsoka and her captain.
