Right. I know I practically haven't written anything of my fav. YYH pairing in a long (okay, very long) while. So here is my first KB for this year.
Botan was walking the streets of Ningenkai not really paying attention to anything. Her light blue hair was out of its usual high ponytail, in stead the young woman had her tresses split in two tails spilling over her shoulders. She sported a light grey turtle-neck, sleeveless shirt and a pair of dark grey skinny jeans. She also had a pair of black sneakers with grey laces.
A while ago Koenma had promised her to release her from the duty of ferrying souls to Reikai. It had come as a relief to the girl. In a few weeks' time she would get a permanent human body and get to live a human (normal) life. Of course, in any other case she would have had to first be born as a human but Koenma had spoken to his father, Enma, about letting Botan start her life with the image of her fifteen year old self. Some changes would be made for her to look more human she was told, such as changing the colour of her hair from blue to light brown. She could live with that. Also she was told she'd live on her own. The ferry girl was given a sum of (Ningenkai) money to find a comfortable place for herself and she was currently checking out the offers.
Suddenly she stopped her body freezing at the sight before her. Right in front of her eyes stood the man she had fallen in love with somewhere along their adventures. The tall young man with extraordinary green eyes and now short hair was looking back at her, a smile on his face. Kurama walked up to her politely starting a conversation with the blushing girl. Botan on her part told him of her life-changing news and her present quest. Being the gentleman he was Kurama offered to help her, aid which she gladly accepted, to both their delight.
The two (more-than-friends-but-not-quite-lovers) spent the rest of their time together talking about their adventures (the past) and the future, little thing like the engagement between Yusuke and Keiko or the developing relationship between Kazuma and Yukina. By the end of the day it was decided that Botan could spend a few days at Kurama's house until she could find a place to stay. Botan honestly saw nothing wrong with it seeing as Kurama still lived with his mother and his step-father and step-brother.
Kurama was glad that she agreed with staying at his house. That way he could have her close to him and when she eventually found a place of her own he'd surely be the first to know. After all he did not only inherit the strength of Youko, the kitsune. Truthfully he also got the demon's possessiveness of what he considered to be his. And right now the former ferry girl was very much his.
So this is it.
TenTenD over and out!:D
