A/N: This is a gift fic I wrote for ElectricClover who did a wonderful job at meeting the Goals and Rewards Requirements in Round 5 of The Houses Competition.

This was really fun to write, I'm always up for writing some Wolfstar. It doesn't have James and Lily getting the two together but it does mention James and Lily at some point, so I really do hope you enjoy it!

The ring had turned orange; this confused Remus, what did that mean? See, Sirius had gotten Remus a muggle toy called a mood ring for their first anniversary. Remus had tried the ring on, and watched it turn a light blue-ish color at first, Sirius had told him it meant he was happy or upbeat.

It was true, he was happy that Sirius had gotten him a present, Remus couldn't help wondering if it wasn't truly a muggle invention after all. Sirius had left for work minutes afterwards, it wasn't until the ring changed again that he realized his boyfriend took the little paper with him, the one that explained what each color meant. Remus decided, after five minutes of staring at the ring, that orange meant confusion. It seemed like the only logical solution.

Remus decided not to dwell on the ring and started making a pot of tea, as he was pouring the tea into a mug he noticed that it had changed yet again, from orange to a light blue again. Happy, he remembered Sirius saying. But he was relaxed, not exactly happy, so why was it light blue again.

He sat down at the kitchen table and starting drinking his tea, he burnt his tongue, and at the moment the ring changed again. First to a red, then a green, then a yellow, over and over it kept on changing. It was getting highly annoying.

Remus took off the ring and threw it at the door to their apartment without even looking, sipping angrily at his tea.

"What was that for?" He looked up from his tea to see Sirius bending down to get the ring. He buried his head in his hands. Thinking it over it was a ridiculous reason to have thrown the ring, after all, how can a ring annoy a person so much?

"Did it annoy you?" Remus glanced at Sirius, who was now sat opposite him in their dining room table. He wondered if Sirius actually knew Legilimency and just hadn't told him. He quirked a brow, curious as to how his lover knew exactly what he had been feeling when he threw the ring.

"What makes you say that?"

Sirius let out a barking laugh, causing Remus to let a small smile slip onto his face.

"Well Remmy, I did the same thing when James gave the ring to me, I got annoyed too. Ended up hitting Lily. I've got to say, you did better than me by a longshot."

"What do you mean?"

"I threw it after only five minutes."
