Calypso
The young woman walked the streets with her protector; she giggled loudly in her short black dress was stumbling all over the place. She was someone who needed to be protected. She radiated an air of innocence, fun, and adventure in an almost irresistible combination like a beacon for danger.
She took off the metallic lace-up heels and now was spinning around like a lunatic. Her protector... Billie following her close behind keeping an eye out for potential threats. She began to sway to a beat that was all her own like music suddenly started playing. She looked at her protector and practically begged for him to dance with her. "Lypso, it's time to get back girlie. Don't ya have to be in yer Daddy's Lab in the morning?"The boy asked her in exasperation. He hated when she was like this she kept saying that she was just on the edge of a having the answer, and like all Beechers, she worked her self to death when the answer she wanted didn't come fast enough. It is a good day so she wanted to have fun, Lypso deserved it after all the hours she was logging.
Billie, unable to deny her anything, swayed with her to an imagery beat. Besides he liked dancing with her like that it reminded him of dancing with her sister when they were more than friends. Those days were long over and he accepted that, but they were still friends no matter how tentative their relationship was now.
The sisters were very different but so similar in so ways it was almost ridiculous to compare them but the girls made him home sick with their southren accents, no matter how faint those accents were. They were both sin walking and could tempt just about anyone but they made it so they were just moderately attractive. Scary smart thanks to their dad's academic boot camp.
Dancing in the dead of night with his ex-girlfriend's baby sister that he promised to look out for was a common occurrence, but also sounded a lot like a disaster waiting to happen.
She began to sober up as they danced. They talked about life and had those philosophical conversations only two slightly inebriated people could have. Truly meaningful conversations that you don't usually have the courage to bring up as the topic of conversation. They talked about her big sister for a while. They were friends but he didn't and couldn't see her in a non-platonic relationship with him. She was Lypso, she was like family to him. He thought that she was smart, funny, corny, innocent and sexy as hell, but he could only see her as a little kid, even if he was only a year maybe two older.
So they danced their way to her apartment, which she had been staying since she got accepted to her father's program. He was also staying in said apartment because it was easier to keep an eye on her. Plus he was too lazy to look for his own.
They took two aspirins each, ate saltines, and drank ginger ale and coco-cola while watching bad lifetime movies, a marathon of crazy exes. About an hour or so into the movie the two them were collapsed on the couch it was cute both of them a sleep on the couch cuddled up like two little kids.
Her big sister wore her hair in puffs but she wore it plaits when she just lazing around their place. They ate breakfast. It was a lazy Saturday morning so she didn't have to go to the lab and neither of them woke up with hang overs. They watched cartoons and played board games. A little bit later on, she decided to get some chores done, so she washed a hill of clothes that had been waiting on her since the week before. She cleaned the bathrooms, the kitchen, the living room, and both of their bedrooms against Billie's protest. She cleaned on Saturday afternoons because she liked the exertion of hard work. For some odd reason it helped her to relax.
She was one of strange people who enjoyed cleaning.
Flashback
"Lyps, I will never understand how you find this relaaxing" said an eleven year old Karen Beecher.
They where helping set up for their mom's benefit and where charged with helping the custodial staff.
"Karey, its just really repetitive and simple I don't have to do any thinking."
That was most appreciated, considering boot camp ran all year with one week breaks every month.
Not thinking was a welcome activity.
Calypso deserved to be lazy sometimes, so after she finished all her cleaning, She logged into her favorite chatroom to meet her friend Tempest,

Calypso Logged off the websites she was on with a small smile. She decide to take the big plunge into cyberspace chatrooms when no one she knew could understand how tragic whale strandng was.
Tempest seemed to be the only one affected like she was by sudden increase of these events; over the whales they found out they had alot in common like messy roommates, marine life actvism, having to deal totally oblious people, and about the same age. They became fast friends.
She signed into her father's network she began to tinker with Beimar serum. 'Hopefully you bind to the coded proteins tomorrow,'
