A/N: Just a quick one shot from this week's episode. My creys for Santana, I got really pissed when there was no Brittana comfort, like Britt was oblivious to the whole thing until the mash up so I wrote this.
For those of you who read Guiding Light, I'm halfway through the next chapter so it should be up soon but at least one review would be nice before I publish chapter two. xx

"Focus on your dancing." Brittany ordered herself as the Troubletones took place on the dark stage.

Only hours ago Brittany had discovered that Finn had outed Santana.

She had to admit that although she and Santana had planned to do it slowly, she was quite happy about the news. Maybe now they could walk down the halls of William McKinley holding hands instead of just linking pinkies, maybe they could even kiss each other goodbye instead hugging.

She had soon changed her mind when she realised her girlfriend was nowhere to be found.

Brittany had gone straight home that night to work on her campaign speech but soon found herself distracted by thoughts of the Latina, who was yet to reply to her calls or log onto Facebook.

'Maybe Santana's avoiding me?' She thought as she went to the Latina's profile, her picture had changed from the familiar one of the two of them in New York to one of just the Latina.

'It must be me.' Brittany told herself and suddenly it all seemed to click. Santana wanted to stay away from Brittany because if it weren't for her then Santana wouldn't be a lesbian.

Brittany could feel her heart break and sink, like the big boat in that movie Santana always cried in.

Santana.

Brittany couldn't help but think about the pain her best friend was going through, sure she wasn't the brightest crayon in the box but she could read and relate to people well.

She spent the rest of the night crying and actually avoided Santana the next day.

It wasn't until their mash up that she dare look into the other girls eyes.

What Brittany saw was completely different to what she had expected.

She thought she would see hate but instead she saw sorrow and what looked like forgiveness.

"Why would she want me to forgive her?" Brittany asked herself as the song came to a close.

She was just as shocked as anyone when Santana jumped off the stage and slapped Finn.

While everyone else stood in shock she wasted no time following her girlfriend's jump and enveloping the smaller girl in a giant hug as she fell apart.

In a way this was so right, she was openly comforting her girlfriend in front of other people and they knew they were more than friends but none of them cared.
