Exactly what I was feeling right now. My crush, Percy Jackson, was going to ask me after school today. Everyone had been buzzing about percy asking out someone and when I asked him about it,he said you'll see later today with a wink. I blushed at the memory. I had been suspicious of his feelings at first but when he described his "girlfriend", i knew he was lying. I mean, blond hair, a tan, and grey must have thought it covered up his crush on me. I thought about our future while droned on about math.

Finally, the day was over! Now I had to meet up with percy but as I walked down the hall, I saw a rather large group gathering in a circle. Being the nosy person, I squeezed my way into the middle of the circle. I saw Percy and NOOOO WAY. I saw his "girlfriend" here! I grabbed percy's arms and before he could say anything I smashed my lips into his. Ha,serves her right for stealing my future husband I thought. But as quickly as it started, It stopped short. My eyes widened as I saw Percy pull away from me."Seaweed brain, do you know this hoe?" his so called girlfriend said." Yah wise girl, she is my friend." he replied. Friend. The word struck me with pain and I stumbled back. I ran out of the circle of people to dry my tears. I turned around just in time to see percy on his knee proposing to that… that… GIRL!
Rejection stung my heart as I thought to myself "Guess he was never my one true love"
