Lucy's POV

I was talking with Mirajane about the other guilds. It was boring to talk about our guild as it was always the same. As we were halfway through with our conversation when Natsu came up to me, Gray and Erza in tow. I turned my head towards them, greeting them with a smile.

"Hey, guys. What's up?" I asked, handing Gray and Natsu their favorite drinks which I had ordered earlier just in case. They smiled at me. I gave Erza her favorite cake and her eyes shined with amazement and hunger. She hugged me quickly and started to eat the cake.

"Lucy, we needed to tell you something very important. It's about Team Natsu," Natsu swallowed hard. It was weird since he hadn't even drank his hot chocolate yet. It must be something of interest if it could make him nervous.

"What is it?" I replied and he pushed Erza and Gray forward. My redhead friend was still wolfing down her cake so she immediately sat down next to me, leaving Gray there. He stuttered while saying what he wanted to say. I tilted my head in pure confusion as a response.

"L-Lucy..." he began. "W-we..."

"We were thinking..." Erza added in after finishing her cake, her eyes looking from side to side. She didn't bother to say anymore.

"We were thinking if you wanted to step down from Team Natsu." my longtime crush said. My two friends quickly slapped him in the head, but Erza hit Natsu harder. He yelped in pain. I stayed silent after hearing his statement. Gray and Erza stared at me with an apologetic look.

Unfortunately, the whole guild heard our conversation. They gave me worried glances. As soon as I noticed, I laughed. "W-why on Earth would I do that? I love you guys," I responded and my crush shook his head. "Lucy, we want to make space for Lisanna."

I was starting to get kind of mad at him now. "So why not just let us both stay in Team Natsu?" I asked as my lips began to tremble. I could feel my tears prickling my eyes but I didn't dare blink an eye. It would only make my crying more obvious.

"We wouldn't all fit," he shortly said, making me almost roll my eyes if I wasn't close to crying. I opened my mouth to speak but no words came out. I closed it shut, putting my lips in a thin line before raising my right hand, balling it into a fist. I really wanted to hurt Natsu, but would this be the right way? ... No, I needed a better way to get revenge on him, even if it would involve me taking a lot of risks.

He looked at me, expecting the punch. My fist just remained in the air. He clicked his tongue and mumbled, "Weakling. You can't even punch me,"

I put down my fist and shook my head, "I wouldn't want to get your patheticness all over me. I'm not gonna let this humiliation slide, Natsu Dragneel. You will pay."

I headed to Master's office and talked to him quite quickly if I may say so myself. He looked at me and smiled, "Well hello, Lu—"

"Master, I want to quit." I said directly, not letting him finish his greeting. His smile disappeared, his face only showing concern and confusion. "Why? You were so excited when you first came to Fairy Tail. You said it was your dream, so why are you suddenly quitting?"

I wanted to tell him but then again, would I have the courage to do so? So instead of telling him the truth, I said, "I have my reasons."

"Well... I hope your reason is valid enough for you to want to quit your dream guild," Master half-joked and I flashed a sad smile. I handed him my hand gently and he started erasing my guild mark. I closed my eyes shut while looking away. Once it was done, I bowed to him. "I hope we can see each other soon." He nodded and let me leave his office.

Levy started running up to me, giving me a hug. She grinned at me when she broke away from the hug. "Hey Lucy, do you want to go shopping? I know Natsu can be a handful sometimes so let's get away from him for even two hours, huh? What do you say?"

I gulped and answered, "Sorry Levy, I can't."

"Why not?" She frowned and held my hand, "Come on, Lucy, please."

I withdrew my hand slowly and she looked at it. Her eyes started to widen. "L-Lucy?"

I bit my lip and looked at her. "Y-yeah?"

"Are you quitting the guild?"

Everyone in the guild looked at me, not expecting it to have gone this far. I looked at them and then back to Levy once again. I nodded and smiled, "Don't worry, I want this."

"Lu-chan."

"Bunny girl."

"Lucy-san, don't leave."

"Oui."

"Lucy, I'm gonna be sad without you." Happy frowned.

"Lucy, you're like my BFF." Mira added.

"Love rival. I mean Lucy."

Mirajane, Wendy, Charles and Happy suddenly went into Master's office. I wonder why. I mean, there is no trouble today, right?

A few minutes after, they returned and showed me the previous areas where they had their guild marks. My jaw dropped in the slightest. There was no guild mark. They hugged me, "We will come with you."

I nodded at them and grinned. We started leaving the guild but before leaving, I hugged Levy.
