I LOVE NCIS!!! GO GIBBS!

Oh, and I don't own the aforementioned show.

My black combat-style boots made surprisingly little noise as I walked up behind my favorite NCIS team. It was nice to get out of the lab once in a while, and I needed to pick up another caff-pow, anyways. McGee was typing away on his computer, Tony and Ziva were arguing about some American idiom... again. I turned my attention to Gibbs, who was staring absentmindedly at a photo on the t.v. screen, his brow wrinkled in thought. Everything is one big puzzle. One big, deadly puzzle.

Finally noticing my presence, he asked, "Whatcha got, Abbs?" I hurriedly reported the DNA findings, excited to be of some use. I knew that look. He knew something.

"Stay here. DiNozo, McGee! Go..." Gibbs barked, rattling off a list of things for the others to start on. Grabbing his gun, he swiftly jogged to the elevator, leaving us behind.

"Hold up, where is he going? I mean, come on, we know everything Gibbs does!" DiNozo groaned puzzledly.

"Wrong." I corrected.

"Wrong?"

"Wrong. No one knows what Gibbs knows. Like, ever!" The others all turned to give me strange looks. Nothing new, really. As usual, Tim started pointing out every single aspect of the case that they all had a shared knowledge of.

"No, no, no." I sighed, not expecting to have to explain something so simple. "No one ever really knows all of what Gibbs knows. You will only know what Gibbs knows when he knows more than he knew before. When Gibbs knows more than he did before, then he will decide what you need to know in order to know what you need to know to be ready when he says go... you know?" The boys stared blankly at me, while Ziva simply shook her head, looking amused. Deciding to have a little fun, I went on. "And even then, you still only know what Gibbs had known previously at that point in time. See, your knowing is relative to Gibbs's knowing..."

"Abby!" Tim interrupted, exasperated. Having accomplished what I had set out to, with the added bonus of thoroughly confusing my boys and probably making our friendly neighborhood Mossad officer's day, I abruptly bid them goodbye. I love working at NCIS!

Very, very, VERY short, I know. Review, please! Abby commands it!
