Prologue:
The letters headed out to their students explaining everything that they would need and so on and so on. But this time there was something extra within their folds. It was a letter, but from someone unexpected.It said:
Dear Students,
My name is Ivy Dumbledore and I'm the headmasters neice. At a young age he adopted me because my parents were killed and asked me to call him father or dad. You will be seeing a lot of me this year and possibly more to come. I am the potion masters assistant. I am also a teacher for Defense Against the Dark Arts class and I help the other teachers at time, but not often.When I was a kid I was very popular and he wasn't and didn't have many friends, so I became his friend. Like him, I was in Slytherin though my adopted mother didn't want me to be. Soon you will learn about my past in History of Magic.
People hate me because of my relation to the headmaster and you-know-who fears me because of it as well. I never knew why he feared my "new" father. I knew him as a kid and he was very nice back then. His name was Tom Marvolo Riddle. I will not use "you-know-who" out of a letter so be prepared to hear his name. He wanted me to join him, but I refused. You will learn more in some of your classes. See you when the year starts.
