Short story I hope you enjoy!
Inspired by one of my favorite videos from America's Funniest Videos. I wanted to write a Jackson and Greta story, and this is what I came up with. Hope you enjoy...and please review.
One afternoon, Greg and Morgan sat on the floor with their two children. Greta was sitting up as her brother Jackson ate popcorn and chatted with his dog Scruffy.
Greta watched as Jackson tossed a piece of popcorn up and Scruffy caught it. Jackson, Morgan and Greg smiled as the dog happily caught and munched on the snack.
Suddenly, they heard giggling. Everyone looked and saw Greta smiling widely at her big brother feeding the dog. The baby girl's laughter grew and filled the room, causing her family to laugh as well.
"That funny, sweet girl?" Morgan asked as Greta laughed and laughed.
Greg took his cell phone and took video of the moment. He loved just simple moments with his family.
"Here Scruffy!" Jackson said with a laugh as the dog snatched another piece of popcorn. He was having as much fun as his sister.
Greta laughed happily as her brother fed the dog. Hearing her laugh and seeing both children so happy made Greg and Morgan smile with happiness and love.
When the bowl of popcorn was empty, Jackson showed it to Greta and Scruffy. "All gone!"
Greta squealed at her brother and Scruffy licked Jackson's hand. Greta reached for Scruffy and almost grabbed the dog's tail. "Oh, sweetie," Morgan said as she took Greta's hand. Scruffy gently sniffed the baby girl. Greta started giggling all over again.
Greg couldn't stop smiling at his family. Just seeing everyone so happy and hearing the laughter fill the house was pure joy.
Jackson hugged Scruffy. The little dog licked Jackson's nose, and both children giggled. Morgan and Greg smiled at their family. "This is so fun," Morgan said as she leaned into Greg's arms.
"Yeah," Greg said with a warm smile. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon.
