Okay first I want to say welcome to my attempt at the Royai 100 themes challenge. Most of these are probably going to be pretty short but I'll try to make some longer. Now, just sit back, relax, and enjoy. Oh, and leave a review to tell me how I'm doing.

018. "I don't want to realize"
Hmm… this one might be a bit hard. I'll go for it, but I'm not really sure which way to take this just yet. Riza's POV for this and spoilers if you haven't finished the series.
As you and the others appeared from the lair of the Homunculus my eyes had softened. I hadn't realized, at first, what had happened to you. All of your limbs seemed to be intact and at first glance, nothing seemed wrong. I had thought, somewhat foolishly, that everything was just fine.
I'm not sure I could have been more wrong.
You stumbled around beside the others, eyes closed as though the dim light was bothering you. Then I realized what had gone wrong and I didn't want to believe it. But to your credit, you refused to give up. You weren't going to allow your newfound disability prevent you from reaching your goal, and I think that, among so many other things, allowed me to fall for you.
And as we sit here together, on our wedding night, we share kisses and sweet words, showing our love and appreciation for the other. But I don't want to realize that you can't see my face on this special night that we share together. And I don't think you want to either.
