Hello~ I'm brushedinred and this is my very first fanfic. I'm still not quite sure how this kind of thing works, so... yeah. Don't mind the title, it doesn't have much to do with the story. I do not own Kuroshitsuji.
Darker than the night that hangs heavily in the atmosphere, you and I were unstoppable - we were the unbeatable team, you and I. Black and Gold. Or should I say Black and Blue, because we both know that's the colour best suited for you. I craved your soul and you craved to come out on top. Together, with our wants and needs, we were indestructible. Because what drives the simple-minded human is desire, they are not tame or humane; they are the same - if not worse - as us. You, too, were once a simpleton. And thinking back on it, my eyes glazed over with nostalgia, I realize you were better off in that chaotic state of being. Back when you could sleep, back when you were fragile and broken, back when every breath you took pulled you one step closer to death - that was beautiful.
Those crimson eyes, they don't suit you. They stare at me with a satisfied sort of glint, and I, I can only look back at you with dead eyes. For your soul, it was my prize, and now without it what is there to look forward to. We will be together forever, surely - the young master and his black clad butler. A contract binding them for eternity - oh, how tragic. I close my eyes to think, because if I can't take you're soul - a dark amusement bubbled up and clawed itself out of its confinements in the form of a low chuckle - I'll take your body.
