A/N: Replace Jack's ending with this at the end of ME3, and well, I'm told that it probably could have been cannon. Woo.
The hologram of Jack grew teary eyed, though she tried her best to hide it. Shepard smiled sadly as she spotted a stray tear rolling down her cheek. "Hey, Jack... It's been an honor knowing you," Shepard would start, unsure of what she was supposed to say to the ex-convict. She wasn't sure what could be said. "I don't believe I've ever told you this, but.. You were an unknown badass, but you proved yourself to be someone worth everything." Shepard was forced to stop as a sob threatened to escape from her throat. 'You can't get emotional now,' she told herself , Jack spoke up, "Thanks, Shep. You saved me in more ways than you'll ever know." The two women, miles apart, both caught in the middle of the same war about to make or break organic life, shared a watery smile. "I love you, Jack" came at the same time as "I love you, Shepard." The two chuckle, trying desperately not to openly sob. "Try not to get yourself killed."
"Yeah, you too Miss Renegade."
