Marebelle closed the door behind her and leaned up against it. "What did I ever do to deserve this?" she sighed. "Why does everything have to go wrong in my life?"
"It doesn't." A voice said.
"Who's there? Who said that?" Marebelle demanded. Just then a green woman appeared in the living room.
"It is I, Queen Titiana of the Fae."
"Yeah, I know who you are, but..uh... what are you doing here? I mean, I thought you only came here if it had to do with Alex."
"I have been watching you."
"Why?"
"You must forget there are gargoyles on Avalon and your parents have been there."
"I know that and hey, that's not a real answer."
"Come with me and I'll explain."
"Where are ya' goin?"
"That is not important."
"But I wanna know."
"Come with me and I will reveal to you what needs to be revealed."
"I don't understand you, but ok if it'll get me outta this hell-hole for a while I'll go." The Queen opened a magic portal and stepped through. Marebelle hesitated.
"Come, my child." Titiana called her. Marebelle hesitantly stepped through to find herself in Castle Wyvern near Alex's room. Alex was stunned to open his door and find his grandmother in her natural form and Marebelle.
"Ok," he said with his arms crossed."What's going on?"
"Come with us and I will expalin." His Grandmother said.
"Alright." he sighed. "I'm guessing I don't have a choice on whether or not I want to go." As she opened another portal Alex had a question for Marebelle. "I'm hoping you can give me answer as to what's going on."
"I can't, Alex. She just showed up in my living room and-"
"Enough." The Queen commanded as she stepped through the portal. "We must go now." Alex promptly followed his grandmother and Marebelle followed him although she still was a little wary of the whole thing.
When they came out on the other side Marebelle and Alex looked at each other for an answer, but neither one of them knew where they were. Further more neither one of them knew what to make of where they had ended up. After what seemed like an eternity Queen Titiana spoke,"We have arrived come with me and I will reveal what I must."
Alex and Marebelle quickly realized that if they ever wanted to find out what this was about they had to follow the Queen, so they followed her into the mists.
