Once upon a time in the kingdom of YouTubelandia, lived a young, gorgeous princess called Carrie Hope Fletcher, daughter of King and Queen Fletcher, sister of the dashing Prince Tom.
Carrie, however, wasn't an ordinary Princess who only dreamed of meeting her white knight in shining armour and living happily ever after with him.
Not in the slightest.
Princess Carrie preferred having fun and making new friends: she was incredibly sweet and gentle towards every single inhabitant of the kingdom, and made sure that nobody was ever distressed or miserable.
One day,as she sat in her royal bedroom, softly singing as she brushed her long, golden locks,Carrie heard a knock on her door.
"Come in!" She called out, quickly tying her her curly mane into the neatest bun she could manage.
The door creaked open, and in walked Dan Howell, one of the King's loyal servants. He bowed at her politely.
"Good Morning your Majesty." he greeted her, eyeing the corridor quickly and noticing that it was now empty. He swiftly closed the door and grinned.
"Hi there,Care Bear!" he chuckled, walking forwards to hug the Princess.
"Hi Dan! What's up?" she smiled widely, placing a soft kiss on Dan's cheek before taking a step back.
Dan,like most of the court's servants, was one of Carrie's best friends.
But her parents couldn't find out.
"Your parents need you for some 'serious business'. They sent me to tell you to dress nice and meet them in the Royal Hall in fifteen minutes."
"Did they mention why?"
"Not a word."
Carrie sighed as Dan left the room, and opted to put on her favourite green dress and a pair of emerald earrings. She looked decent enough to her standards, even though she would've much preferred to wear a simple pair of jeans and a t-shirt.
She gracefully walked downstairs and reached the humongous doors to the Royal Hall, where she was greeted by Charlie McDonnell, another servant and friend of hers.
"Your parents are expecting you,Princess Fletcher." He stated, smiling brightly at her and stepping aside to open the doors.
Carrie thanked him politely before walking forwards to meet her parents.
"Father, mother." She bowed to each of them.
"You were expecting me?"
King Fletcher spoke up. "Yes,my lovely Carrie. We must speak to you about a very important matter."
Carrie nodded, internally rolling her eyes. How she hated having to be a princess! All these responsibilities and duties...Even her brother Tom disliked being a prince.
"As you're aware, you have now reached the age of twenty,my dear, and we believe that you are a responsible adult now." The Queen smiled nervously, squeezing her husband's hand.
"Yes,we believe so..." the King mumbled, and then confidently looked Carrie in the eye. "Carrie,we found you a husband."
Carrie gasped, and she was already completely sure about who they were talking about.
They were going to get her married to Prince Howard.
