Chapter 1: The Well
Hello boys and girls, would you like to hear story? A story of a girl who could jump through time. This girl was special, for she had the power to change history. To bring all together into unity. Now let me tell you about this young woman. Her name, Kagome Higurashi. She begins this tale at age 15. A woman of beauty, with blue eyes black hair, of Japanese descent and a human. Now this story is not solely about this young lady. It is also about her counterpart, who will begin this tale as a 4 year old, but soon thereafter becomes a terrifying man with the reputation far superior to and close to tragedy than those around him. this man has silver hair amber colored eyes and is a demon in every form of the word. To be exact , this man is an inu-youkai. He is named , Sehsshoumaru. Now let me tell you how they met. " Boyo" Kagome yelled out frustrated. the young teen was looking for her cat in the well house. her younger brother stood at the well houses doorway shivering in fear.
"Ha!" Kagome shouted triumphantly, turning she held up the cat and spoke "See Souta-" Kagome let out a squeal as her cat jumped out of her arms and behind her from the well ,burst forth a creature. This creature had many arms and was pale it wrapped itself around the young girl and pulled her into the depths of the well. The pair were enveloped by a bright crystal light and the creature spoke " give it, give me the jewel!" Kagome screamed throwing her hands out as a bright light emitted from her hands burning the demon to ash. Seconds pass and the girl is suddenly submerged in water. In a slight panic Kagome looks around spotting light pushes and kicks her way up. as she broke free on the water surface she gasps and greedily takes in mouthfuls of air.
The 15 year old kept herself afloat and strained to look up above her and call for her brother to get her help. Looking up there no longer was a well roof, but a bright sky shining above her. Surprised, the girl listened and heard shouting and people scrambling all over the place. Kagome looked around spotting vines along the well's wall. she gripped them tightly and with all her might pulled herself up and over the wells lip.
Finally over, the girl could see she was in a large field of flowers and a forest surrounding the field. hearing a scream to her side Kagome stood spotting a group of women and children surrounded by hideous grotesque creatures. Kagome searched all around spotting a bow and arrow. scrambling over to the weapon Kagome began to ready her weapon trying to vaguely remember her archery classes end and let the arrow loose at one of the creatures. as it flew all she could do was pray for it to hit its mark. a bright light emitted from the arrow and hit one of the creatures and Kagome watched as it too turn to ash. the creatures then turned their attention to the young teen. As they surrounded her, Panic began to fill the young girls being. fear swarming her senses, Kagome felt a large power swell and burst from her being to cover those creature surrounding her.
The young girl looked around her and saw that the creatures all became ash. tired the young girl fell to her knees only slightly able to focus on the beings before her. There were four women some with children but only a single pair stood out to her. It was a woman with pale skin and hair shiny and silver pulled back into two pigtails. She smiled to the young girl, Kagome looked her over and stared into her amber colored eyes. In the woman's grasp was a young child whom looked to be 4 years old. The other women seem to be frightened of the young girl and stayed farther back than the woman with the silver hair. the woman before her seem to have strange markings on her face, a crescent moon on her brow swiped of color on her eyelids and cheeks.
" Why hello there little one. you have surprised me my name is Kimi. I give you my thanks for saving us all. " Using the well to help her, Kagome stood on wobbling legs. A smile on her tired features.
"I'm not sure what I did, but I was happy to help." Kagome spoke watching as the small child in Kimi's arms turned to look at her. He seemed to share the same markings as she , with moon-kissed skin and silvery hair cut neatly to his shoulders. His big bright amber eyes zeroed in onto the miko.
The young boy squirmed out of his mother's hold and jumped to the floor. The small child smiled brightly and looked up to the girl before him.
"Hello kind miko, this one is called Sesshoumaru." The boy spoke very sweetly to the girl , cause a large smile to break out on her face. Kagome got down to his eye level and introduced herself.
"Hello, my name is Kagome." A slight wave of nausea fell over the young girl. Before reaching the ground, Kagome was caught by kimi. Slightly surprised at how quick the woman was, Kagome could only stare in dumbfoundment .
In a flash the trio was in the air and Kagome clung tightly to the silver haired woman and the young boy held tightly to the miko , an impassive mask placed firmly onto his features.
Kagome's mind concluded that she truly was dreaming. Any moment now , Souta will come scrambling in her room to wake her for breakfast. Kagome looked down to see a very intimidating man whom looked like an older version of the young child clinging to her.
The man glared up at the trio. "Kimi, do you know what exactly you place our pup next to." the man spoke addressing the pigtailed woman.
"Of course mate, I am no fool." Kimi spoke ice seeping into her tone. Kagome glance between the two and the trio slowly descended downward to face the silver haired man.
"Then why act like a fool and let our pup near this miko." The man's silver brow rose in arrogance.
"She is our protector." Kimi spoke setting the girl down on wobbling legs. Kagome still didn't have much energy and it took almost all she had to not pass out.
"Umm, I just did what anyone would do." Kagome spoke drawing the attention of the two before her. The young boy clung tightly , Kagome only held him to her.
Kimi smiled kindly to the girl and pulled her pup in her arms. " You are very kind. Most holy beings choose to cause harm to those like us. " Kagome's face grew slightly pale.
"What, why? You are all a bit eccentric but your human." Kagome looked at the pair as they glanced at each other.
"We are demons , not human girl." The man spoke leering at the girl.
Demons. Demons , like the fictional creatures from the fairy tales her grandfather always goes on about.
"oh, okay." The young girl said, then promptly fainted.
I hope you all enjoy the re-write. I like it a bit better.
