Charlie stepped through the flap of his tent and called out to his girlfriend. He had had a long day out in the mountains with his team. They were trying to find a dragon reported in Spain to take back to the reserve but their search had come up empty-handed. They would have to go further north to find him and hopefully before it found a village.
"In here," his girlfriend called back, her voice softly muffled by the folds of cloth which made up the walls and ceiling of the expanded tent. He popped his shoulders as he walked towards her voice.
He found her sitting by one of the open flaps which served as a window, curled in a comfy maroon chair with a book in hand. He walked over to her with a cheeky grin, "Why is it so dim in here and smells like cinnamon?"
She looked at him with a smile and said loudly, "They are candles! I like them. Makes it all cozy and warm."
He came around the chair and put his arms around her shoulders, "I know I'm warmer than a few candles, Hermione."
She blushed and then asked him, "How was your day?"
He groaned before walking around and sitting on the ground between her legs. He placed his back against the base of the chair and put his head in her lap. "It was excruciating. We flew through the trees trying to find any tracks or signs, but we came up with nothing. We fear he may be hurt as well, so we don't know how long he has until we can find him. And that's if he doesn't come upon one of the muggle villages."
Hermione played with his long shaggy hair before leaning down and giving him a kiss on the forehead. "Will you need me to come out there with you guys since you say he might me hurt?" Hermione worked with his team in healing the injured they brought in.
Charlie shook his head, the ends of his hair tickling her exposed legs. "No, not yet. I don't want you out here until it's absolutely necessary."
Hermione frowned, "I'm a big girl, you know."
He reached his hands up and pulled her face towards his. "I know, but you're also my girlfriend and I wouldn't want anything to happen to you." He gave her a soft kiss on the lips.
When they released, he smiled and said, "Now then, how about we do something fun?" He snatched her book from her and threw it over his shoulder. The book soared before it landed a few feet away, its pages crushed and bent as it laid spine up.
Hermione looked at him in shock, "I can't believe you just did that! It's a book. It's meant to be taken care of and loved."
He grinned at her, "That's what makes it fun! Haven't you ever done what you weren't supposed to? Haven't you ever broken the rules?"
Hermione was about to answer, he could see the look on her face telling him he was about to be scolded, but he held up his fingers to her lips. "Don't say you haven't, because you would be lying. There are many rules you've broken, Ms Granger."
She pouted and then asked, "Such as?"
He rose from the ground and picked up her book and placed it down gently. He had done it to surprise her but he knew how much she prized her books. He walked back to her and said, "Well not counting the ones you've broken with my brother and Harry, you've broken a few with me."
She blushed and then said, "I don't recall."
He smiled devilishly. "Then let me refresh your memory," he said huskily, before scooping her up from under her legs and carrying her towards their shared bed.
