[just so you know, i gave L a hometown and a brother, just cause i felt like it.]
"L, why did you bring me here?" Light asked his boyfriend suspiciously.
"I used come here with my brother before he died. I love it here and wanted to share it with you. That's what people do when they love someone, right?" The older boy said, looking up at Light from his crouched position on the ground .
They are on a large grassy hill near where L had grown up, bit before sunset. Its valentines day. L had never been good with romantic gestures, years of solitude and secrecy can do that to a guy, but Light stuck with him. Why? Because, on rare occasions, like this one, L would do something so unimaginably adorable or sweet that Light couldn't believe it was the same person who had accused him of murder only 2 years ago.
Not to mention, of course, the fact that Light found every little quirk [god knows there's thousands of them] of L's incredibly cute and endearing.
"Sit with me?" L asked slightly awkwardly. Light smiled and sat, putting his arms around L's waist and resting his head on L's shoulder.
Then L did something Light didn't expect. He turned a bit and changed his position so he was sitting cross-legged, then scooped Light into his arms easily and put him on his lap, cradling the teen like a baby. Light looked up at L, his L, and smiled again. Believe it or not, Light actually liked that L was stronger than him, it made him feel protected. Light snuggled close to L, who held him tightly.
"Look at the sunset, Light." L whispered. Light turned his head and was met with the second most beautiful sight he'd ever seen.
The sun was just dipping down into the horizon, swirls of light pink and purple stained clouds float delicately over the bright sun.
The first most beautiful sight Light had ever seen kissed him gently on the neck.
