Sin So Deep

A sin so deep

A wound so wide

The monstrosity that is I

is something I cannot hide.

Even treading upon fire,

the element that purifies all,

cannot wash my blood stained hands,

nor combust my frozen wall.

My peace

is broken.

The sound of silence no more

as screams from an eon ago are spoken.

Memories long buried flashes by,

opening new wounds sealed within time.

Faces, dreams, all so far and yet so close

vanish down the morbid road I chose.

The road not taken

is the road I stroll

tainting all in sight

with the anger in my soul.

My wounds sealed within time

simply breaks and floods.

My heart raptured in red

Sends me a bitter taste of blood.

A sin so deep

a wound so wide

The only way to heal it

is if I die
