China and the USSR became enemies after the Sino-Soviet split in 1961, and fought a brief border war in 1969. Their enmity began to lessen after the death of Mao Zedong, but they still had poor relations until the fall of the Soviet Union. Diplomatic relations between China and Russia dramatically improved after the fall of the Soviet Union and the establishment of the Russian Federation in 1991.
"You think I'm just going to give up my land, aru? You think I'll give anything to you?"
"Kitai, please, calm down. I am not overly pleased about this, either, but do you see me complaining?"
"Yeah, you're not the one losing land! You just come over here all the time with your talk of 'becoming one' with you, aru!" Out came the ladle. It just seemed to spawn whenever the Asian got angry. Purple eyes widened.
"Please do not wave that near my face."
"Not the point, aru!" Russia blocked a flailing blow with his trusty faucet and twisted his wrist; the utensil clattered to the floor. The tall man leaned on the table, forcing his way into China's personal space bubble.
"You are not the only one who has lost things in these conflicts, Yao. This was not my decision. Our leaders have already decided to form an alliance. We can either go along with it, or force our countries into civil war as we argue with them." Tension crackled in the air before China backed off, turning on a heel to stalk across the room and stare out the window.
What should I do? How can I respond to that, without blowing my cover? Oh, my face is red. But I can't just pull a 180 now! Maybe... okay, make a plan. Just go along with it for now, and slowly let things slip, so it seems like a recent thing. It'll work.
Why is he always so opposed to talking to me? I'll admit, barging into his house so often was probably a bad idea, but he always overreacts so much! Besides, he turns that one shade of pink... like he's doing now... what for? Such a feisty country, for one so old. So very interesting...
"Fine." The brunette turned and found himself facing not the room as a whole but one very large, very close Russian. He yelped and tried to back up, cracking his head on the window. "W-what are you-"
China never got a chance to finish his question, hands scrabbling at the wall as Ivan silenced him in the quickest, most direct way possible. To his mortification, Yao found himself almost instinctively surrendering to the invasion. Even worse, when the pale man pulled away, a quiet whine slunk out of the Asian's throat before he could regain control over himself. A smile played across the northerner's face.
"I take it relations between our countries will be more than amiable now, da?" Sparks returned to dark brown eyes.
"Not unless you finish what you started, aru." Without waiting for assent, China tugged the taller man back to his proper place: flush against him, from lips to chest to legs and everything in between, until they could nearly be one person.
A/N: Yeah... definitely not my favorite pairing, and I honestly have no clue what I was doing here. I also don't think I got China's personality right... BUT I promised a friend I'd write RoChu for her birthday, so here it is. I hope you're happy, Hanako~ It's a bit late, but I told you to expect that xD
Also: Kitai= Russian for China
