Katara and Suki lay in the middle of a large grass field looking up at the stars. The moon shone down on them brightly, full and glowing.

Suki sighed happily.

"Suki?"

"Yeah Katara?"

"You love Sokka don't you?"

Suki paused. "I suppose I do." she answered dreamily.

There was a considerable silence.

"Well, what does love feel like?" Katara asked.

Suki laughed. "Well, it's actually really nerve wracking. Especially with Sokka. I'm never quite sure exactly what he's going to do. But I always feel nervous and excited when he's around, or when I'm thinking about him. Like there's butterflies in my stomach."

"It's hard to think of Sokka with someone as mature as you, Suki." Katara joked.

"Nah, you have to give him some more credit. Sokka can be very mature...well, when he has to be. And it seems like everyone has to be with the battle coming up."

Katara shivered, despite the warm breeze. She had total confidence in Aang, but that didn't mean she wasn't worried about what was going to happen. "I know what you mean. We've all had to grow up so fast." Especially Aang.

There was a long silence. All Katara and Suki could hear was the wind blowing through the grass.

After a long while, Suki asked "Why did you want to know about love, Katara?"

Katara blushed, grateful that Suki was laying on her back next to her and couldn't see her face. "Well, I guess I know what you mean, about the fireflies."

Suki laughed loudly. Katara was confused "what's so funny?"

"I think you mean butterflies Katara, not fireflies."

Katara laughed nervously. "I guess I gave myself away..."

"Don't worry, I won't say anything to our resident 'firefly' if you don't want me to."

Katara was glad Toph wasn't around to hear her slip-up. "Thanks Suki."

Zuko, who had been making his way over to join the two girls -to escape another humiliating round of 'Ro Sham Bo' with Sokka- grinned to himself as he caught the last of their conversation. He silently turned back towards camp with a small smile on his face which he refused to explain to anyone who asked.
