I'll never be as perfect as Juliet,
I'm only as perfect as Cinderella,
Cinderella will never speak up but will one day find her Romeo out of a simple wish that she is given,
"Go to the ball and find your Romeo"
As I dance with my Romeo,
Prince Charming sees me from across the room and takes me away from him,
After we dance Prince Charming kneels on his knee and asks me to marry him,
I sit there and look at Romeo,
Flirting with Juliet,
I stupidly said "yes",
I married Prince Charming and met Romeo again,
He recognized my hair and kissed me,
I showed him my ringed finger and his face lit up red,
"What happened to Juliet?" I asked.
"She didn't want me." Is what you said.
I stopped and looked at my glass slippers,
I ended up with you in the end,
Mother and Father never liked you and Prince Charming never learned about our relationship,
I remember sitting on your bed and crossing my naked legs shyly,
"He'll kill you if he learns about us." I said the worried knot in my stomach coming back.
"He'll never be able to kill me if we run away together." Is what you said looking into my eyes that were crystallized in tears.
I looked away embarrassed.
You kissed my forehead and said everything was going to be "fine",
One day I came back to the castle late,
"Where were you?" Prince Charming asked me as I lay on the bed in my blue ball gown.
"Out." I said.
"Out where?"
"Places." I said.
I sat up and walked to the dresser that was across the room,
You came over and took my hand shoving me in the corner,
"Tell me where you were." Prince Charming said flames in his eyes.
I fell to my knees in tears,
Prince Charming pulled out locks of my hair and I screamed begging him to stop,
Everything flashed before my eyes,
The bed and the small room that made me feel like a doll,
The cold feeling I got as my hand touched Romeo's,
"Romeo!" I yelled revealing our secret,
The flame in Prince Charmings eyes seem to get bigger,
As tears filled mine,
"You are to stay here as I go and execute him." Prince Charming said.
Prince Charmings lips pressed against mine and he left the room,
When I knew he had left I rummaged through the dresser looking for my tattered clothes,
When I found a dress I put it on and tied up my hair,
I ran into the bathroom and opened up the window,
I climbed down the plant and felt like I was running away from home,
"Goodbye." I whispered as I ran through the courtyard.
I continued through the forest and found your cabin,
No one was here,
Yet,
I busted through the back door,
I heard a book slam close and you come to the back door,
"Romeo!" I cried falling into his arms.
"Cinderella?" He asked.
"We have to run!" I yelled pulling on his hand.
"Why?" He asked.
"I revealed the secret to Prince Charming." I said looking at the only thing I didn't replace.
The glass slippers,
"It's going to be okay."
Romeo grabbed his coat and hat,
We rushed out the backdoor holding hands,
I could here carriages and horses from where we stood,
"We better go now." Romeo whispered.
"Where?" I asked.
"Anywhere but that village or here." He whispered.
I knew a place thirty miles out and they didn't know anything about this castle,
"Follow me." I whispered.
We quietly went through the forest,
We heard people yell even though we were far away from the wooden house,
"I'm sorry." I said.
"It's not your fault." Romeo said.
I began to cry softly my tears still like crystals,
"As long as were safe." Romeo said.
He kissed me softly on the cheek and whispered in my ear "I love you, even if you aren't as perfect as Juliet."
"Don't let my love become like Juliet's." I managed to say.
Three days later we arrived in a small village filled with people,
Their clothes frayed and little to eat,
"Better here then nowhere." Romeo said.
I may not as perfect as Juliet or any other princess,
But that's because I'm Cinderella.
