"A fight to the death between father and son. That's horrible."
The words echoed through Lloyd's head as he made his way toward Origin's seal. He gave a sigh. So, this was it. I'm was on his way...to kill my dad. When Lloyd first found out Kratos was his father, the teenage boy was angry. Kratos had, after all, betrayed them all. He had really worked for Cruxis the whold time. He was just leading them closer to the enemy.
But as Lloyd continued to think of him, Lloyd remembered the things Kratos had taught him. In their brief time together, he had taught him how to properly use a sword, he taught him some good defensive techniques. And he had told him not to die. Lloyd had been rather taken back with the last one. It was, after all, not something you say to someone regularly. Then Lloyd had found out that the hired mercenary was actually an angel and his father.
I guess that explains why he got along so well with Noishe. But then again, the dog did love everyone, but their seemed to be a bond between the two. And now I must kill him. It's the only way to release Origin and save the world. No! There has to be another way. But what?
He heard a loud shriek and turned around quickly, sword in hand. That's another Kratos had taught him; Reflexes.
Lloyd sighed deeply, sheathing his sword, as he watched the scene before him.
Zelos had his hands up in defense as Sheena smacked him in the head.
"Stupid Chosen!! Keep your hands to yourself!"
"I don't know what you're talking about my violent banshee."
Sheena's eyes narrowed as Zelos smiled. Lloyd turned away, a smile on his face. That Zelos.
He briefly remembered Zelo's 'lesson' in the Temple of Darkness. He had told Lloyd about how you could do things in the dark and girls wouldn't know it was you. Of course, not minutes later, Sheena had shrieked and insisted that he had done something. But lately Lloyd had seen something in both Sheena and Zelos' eyes, but he couldn't tell what.
"Lloyd?"
Lloyd turned to Colette. "Yeah?"
"Um...are you really going to do this? Are you really going to fight Kratos?"
"Yeah, there's nothing else I can do. We need to release Origin and he says this is the only way."
"Well," she placed a hand on his shoulder. "I'm here too. I'll help."
"No. This is something I must do by myself. I need to make sure that I can do it."
Colette nodded as the group stood. Sheena's yells subsided as they all looked forward. There was Origin's seal. And next to it, stood Kratos.
I'm sorry dad. Then, Lloyd drew his sword.
