Justin didn't know how to ice skate. In his opinion, it wasn't natural. After all, what idiot had originally thought it would be a good idea to go onto a frozen lake with knifes on their feet? Despite his hesitance, Hannah loved to ice skate and he loved Hannah. So here he was.
The lady behind the counter had given a long list of safety precautions, all of which had reassured Justin that this was a bad idea. Hannah seemed unfazed however.
"It's actually quite easy," he reassured her. "And fun. I promise you."
Justin still wasn't so sure about this. He was a little less scared than he had been an hour ago. But he was still unsure about this. It didn't seem safe.
Hannah wasn't letting him off that easily however. She took his hands, and slowly led him onto the rink. There were only a few others out today, a group of young girls and a handful of couples. If he stayed on the edge he wouldn't have to worry about people running him down.
"I'll just stay here," Justin muttered, gripping the edge of the wall tightly.
The brought a smile to Hannah's lips as she tried to coax him onto the rink.
"Do you trust me?" She asked.
That was a dirty shot. He was out of luck no matter what he responded. Deciding to go with the lesser evils of a response, he slowly let go of the wall. Hannah smiled and started pulling him across the ice. The moment his feet started moving, Justin slipped and fell.
He landed pretty hard and for a second there was a little dazed. Hannah helped him to his feet, apolozing for him getting injured. He reassured her he was fine as they moved slower across the ice.
