I do not own Vindictus or any of the characters.
This was inspired by another Author who writes Vindictus, go check out theirs!
1. Gunpowder
The first smell Fiona learned to associate with her father was the smell of gunpowder; after seeing Kobolds use the very same gun, and powder, on her father, she decided not to associate it with anything anymore.
2. Meat Shield
Lann rushed at the boss, and Evie huffed in exasperation as she prepared a Feather to revive Lann with. Honestly, you'd think he'd remember he's not a meat shield once in a while.
3. Boat
Having been born in the mid-continent, Lann could be forgiven for paling significantly after hearing they would be traveling by boat to all their missions.
4. Contrast
As Fenella looked at the color of the Aislinn's Iced Strawberry Brandy, she welcomed the coldness of the drink after relating the color of red to fire for so long.
5. Pray
As the three of them prayed before each mission, Lann can't help but think they aren't praying for themselves, but for each other.
6. Karok
The insults about his looks ceased when they found out he carried a 400 stone pillar as his weapon.
7. Pretty Boy
Lann took a lot of crap as a beginning mercenary, people thinking he got the title from his looks; that changed when he slowly started beating every one of them in duels.
8. Pillar
Evie was surprised when Karok started running away in a duel, after chasing her for so long, at least until a flying stone pillar narrowly missed her head.
9. Thankful
Brynn sometimes regrets his decision those years ago, but thanks the Goddess every day for at least letting him keep magic to help those in need.
10. Wood
Fiona sometimes wonders what's the point in throwing off all the available wood off a fishing boat; especially when someone gets a hook stuck in their thigh and there's none left for a campfire.
11. Constant
The piper always plays the flute, the people of Rocheste have long since gotten used to the music each time they walk by the fountain; each thinking it's nice to have something constant in their ever changing lives.
12. Past
Keaghan sometimes likes to look at an old, faded photograph, and remembers the past; he never leaves for battle without looking at it at least once.
13. Paradise
Fergus thinks, as he sets up a blacksmith shop in a town called Tir Chonaill, that in another life, a harsher life, he might have been a blacksmith that doesn't have such slippery hands.
