That girl knelt down on the ground in the lone night. She covered her face using her palms, shoulder shaking. She was crying.
Just last afternoon, she had tried to confess her feeling to Naruto. She had gathered her courage to say, 'I love you' to him. But when she was looking for him, her heart was shocked as she saw him. She hoped she would never find him or see it.
But she found him. And she saw it.
A view she did not want to see.
Naruto and Hinata… under the tree… kissing.
Her heart was broken. She decided to leave that time before either Naruto or Hinata could see her.
Tears was never stopping coming out from her eyes since then. She had no a chance to get the boy she had been dreaming about.
He would never be hers.
The rain came down heavily, making the situation became worse in her heart.
The girl did not move from her place.
She even could not stand. The rain wetted her. She felt cold.
She needed something warm.
But it was nothing around her. She was alone. Nobody around. Only a touch of the rain that still accompanied her.
The girl closed her eyes, feeling weak and sleepy, but could not walk to home.
She hated being weak and sad. In fact, those what she was feeling.
The rain had not stopped. But why did her body did not feel the touch of it?
She titled her head.
Someone she knew best was shading her by umbrella, letting himself wet.
"Sasuke."
Sasuke stared at her with his onyx eyes.
"Get up, Sakura."
Sakura snorted. But the tears kept coming out instead, as if it burst all emotions she had been keeping in.
Sasuke lowered his umbrella slowly. He knelt down also as he leant toward the crying girl.
"Come on."
Sakura did not respond. But suddenly, she rushed herself to the boy's chest. Her crying was stopping.
Sasuke get off his grip from umbrella. He opened his arms and hugged the girl.
"It's okay." He said. "Stop your crying."
Sakura only replied it with a sob.
Sasuke stroke the girl's hair gently. "Shh.. it's okay. I'm here."
"It's… it's hurt." Sakura sobbed.
"I know. But don't you ever think about that moment again."
"I love him."
"And he loves someone else."
"I feel useless."
Sasuke released his hug. He looked Sakura's face as wiped her tears.
"Listen ; be the strong Sakura I know. You must be strong."
"I… I can't."
"You can. I know it."
Her crying was getting low though her voice was still vibrating.
"I don't know what to do next. My life feels unworthy knowing he loved someone else."
"Hey. That's not true." Sasuke said. "Your life is still worthy for another person."
"No." she argued. "Not anymore without him. He's the only one I loved and I thought he would love me too. Now… now everything's over. I own nothing."
"That's not have me."
Sakura looked at him, confused. "What do you mean?"
"Don't you understand what I mean?" Sasuke asked back. "I love you."
Sakura opened her mouth, attempting to say something. But Sasuke quickly placed a finger on her lip.
"Shh.. don't say that. I know you took an impress a bad thing on me. But behind of it, Sakura, there's something hidden in my heart. And I can never confess it to you ; not as long as your heart still for Naruto."
Tears rolled down again. But it was not a tears of sadness but a happiness instead.
She hugged Sasuke, which hugged her back.
"I will always be there for you, Sakura." He whispered.
