This chapter is pretty short, as just a precursor of things to come. I hope you enjoy. This is my first fanfiction, so feel free to review and tell me about anything that I could make better.

Chapter 1: The Awakening

Darkness

Marinette's head felt like lead. She slowly opened her eyes, and a blinding light hit her brain and all thought process stopped at the pain. While she had never had any alcohol, she imagined this is what a hangover would feel like.

"Marinette?" A voice calls out, jarring the serenity of the bright room. Marinette opened her eyes, and she saw her friend Allia sitting there, a worried expression on her face. "Come on, girl. Sit up."

Marinette took her advice and sat up, her head throbbing. With further consideration, the room only had one dim light, which just made Marinette even more confused. "Allia? What are you doing in my bedroom?"

"We're not in your bedroom, Mari," Allia nodded sadly, and Marinette's eyes widened. The room was large, with no windows. And one dim light directly above Marinette, in the center of the room.

"Where are we?" Another voice asked, and Nino sat up behind me. Allia rushed to his side, and smiled gently. As I looked around the dark room, I noticed more sleeping kids; all in their pajamas. I looked down to find myself in a red, form-fitted T-shirt and black shorts that ended mid thigh. And nothing else.

"OH MY GOD! Where am I?" More kids woke up, and Marinette recognized them from her class. Ivan and Mylène sat together, hands clenched as they examined their surroundings. Chloe and Sabrina held their phones up, trying to get a signal. Rose, Juleka, Nathanael, Max, Kim, and Alix sat in a circle, pinching each other to make sure they weren't dreaming.

The girls were all in baggy pajamas that were grey in color. Chloe paced the room complaining. The boys were in similar attire.

"Marinette?" A male voice asked from behind her.

Marinette stood up and Adrien was there, dressed in skin-tight black clothes. She felt half naked with my long legs exposed. Mari caught the boys staring at my body multiple times.

Marinette blushed, and looked away, noticing something she hadn't before. "What's with the TV?"

Lining one of the walls was an enfournons flat-screen TV, which flickered momentarily, and showed the face of an old Chinese man.

"Hello, students," the man said. "I am Master Fu.

"I have brought you all here today because you are in great danger.

"As you know, Hawkmoth has been releasing akumas into the city of Paris for a while now. I thought you would all benefit to seeing how your Superheroes, Ladybug and Cat Noir have defeated these villains so you can learn to defeat them yourselves. So, without any further ado, I give you, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. . . ."
