A/N: This is just me trying new things and I admit it is a bit strange, but I wrote it mainly because I was bored and had nothing else to do. I hope you enjoy it anyway and leave reviews.

Disclaimer: I do not own Fringe or Men in Black. Obviously.

Curiosity

"This is very peculiar," Walter said, poking at the goo-covered specimen covering the sidewalk.

"Oh, don't touch it," Peter groaned. "That's just disgusting, you know that?"

"It's like nothing I've ever seen," Walter muttered. "These flaps of skin appear to be gills of some sort. And four eyes. Very interesting. It's otherworldly."

"What, like an alien?" Peter raised an eyebrow.

"I didn't say that, but it's a possibility."

"What killed it?" Olivia asked, eyeing the thing.

Walter spared her no glance. "I imagine falling from a twenty-story building is what killed it."

Olivia didn't bother mentioning that it could have already been dead by the time it fell. Or was thrown.

"We'll need to take it back to the lab to examine it. Some samples should help in identifying the creature," Walter said, still poking at the amorphous thing.

"Identify the alien?" Peter questioned.

"You know, this reminds me of that time you were just a boy and you had found that dead bird in the backyard –"

"Walter, don't go there."

"– and you begged your mother to let you keep it."

"There, you've said it," Peter replied. "You can remember that, but not what you had for breakfast today."

"What breakfast?"

"Excuse me, who are you?" Charlie's voice floated over to them. Olivia turned to see two men dressed in all black brushing past Charlie.

"I'm Agent Kay, this is Agent Jay," the older man introduced himself, speaking directly to Olivia. "We're from the MIB and we've come for the alien over there."

"Excuse me?" Olivia said, slightly confused. "Alien?"

"Yes."

"You mean you know what this is?" Peter spoke up incredulously.

"Well, what is it?" Walter wanted to know.

"Something real nasty," the one called Jay said, eyeing the so-called dead alien.

"An Altairean mud-worm," Kay responded. "Looks like the Rhenians finally caught up to him." He pulled out a pair of sunglasses. "We're taking him back with us."

"We've already arranged for it to be transported to our own facility," Olivia objected.

"Well change your plans." Kay held up a small device.

There was a bright flash that nearly blinded Olivia. Then a faint voice in the haze. For a moment, she didn't know where she was.

"What was that?" Peter asked.

"I don't know," Olivia replied.

"Well, I suddenly have a craving for chicken wings," Walter said.

The end

A/N: I know it's probably just about the shortest thing you've ever read and pretty pointless. But, you see, I was sitting in the middle of a boring auction last Tuesday and I had just finished an awesome action scene for one of my other stories, Legacy, and I had only one page left in my notebook and I wanted to write something so I wrote this. It was kind of a challenge, actually, since it's hard for me to write something so short. Please leave a review, I'd like to know if I succeeded in writing a good World's Shortest Fringe/MIB crossover. Thank you for reading.
