A Rainy Day
It was a rainy day, I awoke to the sound of raindrops "split, splat, split, splat." I was sick of rain. It had been raining for three weeks straight. "Ugh, I need to get away from all this rain! I'm sick of the coldness and moisture!" I yelled, "I need to go somewhere where it's warm and sunny." Just then it hit me. The next day we were on the plane!
When the plane landed it was July 2, 11:00 am. The pilot said, "Welcome to Sunny Side California!" My mother rented a limo to make the trip more amazing. I invited my mom, my dad, my two brothers, my sister and my best friend Courtney. We all got in the limo, and left. My father arranged for us to stay at a beach house a block away from the beach. It was amazing; the sights, the smells. The ocean's water glittering in the sunset.
Over the next few weeks, we went to all different kinds of restaurants. The waiters were so giving, they gave us everything for free! We also drove past the Hollywood sign a few times and boy was it amazing! We visited my cousin and went to the zoo. My favorite animal, the polar bear, sat on the ice like he was the coolest animal in the zoo.
The day before the trip was over, my dad taught me how to boogie-board. I was bogie-boarding all night. I had a blast!
On the plane home, I met Hillary Duff and she gave me her autograph. She made my dream vacation perfect. When I got home, I wrote everything down in my journal so I would never forget this amazing journey.
