"How could this happen? How could he do this to me?" Tears slid down Hermione's face. Seeing Ron with Lavender Brown was a huge shock. She knew that somewhere along the line that sneaking around behind everyone's back with Ron would come back to hurt her. She blew her nose into a tissue. Hermione had wondered if Ginny's words had really hurt him or if he had just been acting offended to hide their relationship, and now she knew.
"Harry's snogged Cho Chang!" Ginny had shouted, "And Hermione snogged Viktor Krum, it's only you who acts like it's something disgusting, Ron, and that's because you've got about as much experience as a twelve-year-old!"
The words resounded in her ears over and over again. Hermione was not sure how to react at the time but since Ron had now effectively ended their relationship she knew that she should have rubbed it further in his face. She could not believe that he allowed himself to be so effected by his sisters words. Well if he wanted to be immature and snog other people so be it. They were just having a fling, that's all. She could play this game.
