Emily's POV

"Two hours and eleven minutes!" Rossi states as he walks into the meeting room. Before I can even register what he's talking about, Reid elaborates,

"Actually, it's been two hours and nine minutes since we got back from our last case." He's right, only yesterday we were in Arizona for a serial kidnapping case. We just got back, and now, we're back again. As Morgan sits down, Garcia starts talking,

"Okay crime fighters!" She's way too enthusiastic for me right now, "You're going to sunny Las Vegas!" We all groan, except for Morgan and Reid. They're both showing excitement, but both for different reasons. Reid, I'm sure, is happy to see his mother. Morgan however, well...it's Vegas.

Garcia continues to read on about the file, but I'm not listening, my mind is somewhere else. I don't know if it's from the lack of sleep, but JJ looks beautiful. Her eyes are so blue, almost radiant. And her hair, the most beautiful shade of a caramel blonde hair. Her lips are a luscious pink color. Wait, what's happening? Am I crushing on my best friend? I try my best to focus on the case, but every time JJ says something, I get lost all over again.

"Emily? Are you okay?" JJ asks, her brows furrowing with worry. I quickly clear my throat,

"Um, yeah. I-I'm fine." I look around and see that everyone is watching me. They all look give me that 'we know you're lying' look.

"Really, I'm fine. I'm fine everyone." They don't look away until but Hotch gets up,

"Wheels up in 30." Everyone gets up, except JJ, she stays and looks at me,

"Emily, what's going on?" She asks quietly, taking my hand. I can't tell her, so I pull my hand away,

"It's nothing, really, I'm fine." Before she says anything else, I take my go-bag and follow the rest of the team to the jet.

JJ's POV

There's something going on with Emily, it's obvious. She hardly talks the entire plane ride to Las Vegas. But what bothers me the most is that no one else on the team seems to care as much as I do. When we land, she goes straight to the bathroom. I decide to follow her and talk to her.

I close the door behind me, and lock it.

"Emily, what is going on?" She jumps, unaware she wasn't alone. She looks in the mirror- almost like she's arguing with herself. "Em, you can't tell-" I'm silenced by her lips hitting mine. At first I'm tense, not sure what to do, but then I relax and return the kiss. Emily pushes me up against the wall and continues to kiss me, and I kiss her back. Eventually, she pulls away,

"JJ...I-I..." A single tear runs down her cheek, "I'm so sorry JJ..." I'm still trying to wrap my head around what's just happened...and the fact that I wanted more of it.

"What..." She wipes away the tear and walks past me towards the door, "Emily wait!" She ignores me, and starts to open the door. I grab her wrist,

"Emily I...I...umm, there's something I've kept from...everyone." Before she says anything, I continue. I take a deep breath,

"I'm lesb-"

"Me too." She kisses me again and again, and for once in my life I feel like I'm whole. Emily Prentiss, the piece I've been missing.
