Lily rolled her eyes as James Potter came down the corridor towards her.
"Now this is a sight to see," she remarked, "James Potter, alone? Not surrounded by his cronies? Not a desperate, admiring girl in sight? I must be dreaming!"
"So now you're dreaming about me, are you?" James smiled cockily.
Lily rolled her eyes again. "You wish." James nodded and Lily shuddered. "Did not need to know that."
James smiled. "No, but you did already. I really don't think it's gonna make that much difference hearing it again."
Lily screwed up her face in disgust. "Must you make my life more of a living hell?" He nodded. "Fine." She turned and began to walk in the other direction.
"Lily, wait!" James grabbed onto her arm and pulled her back around. "Why...", he stopped and took a breath, "Why do you hate me so much?" He bit his lip.
"Why do I hate you so much?" Lily repeated in disbelief, "James, we've been through this before. You're an inconsiderate prat who doesn't care who's feelings you hurt or who's life you trample on, as long as people think you're funny."
James blinked at her before leaning in and kissing her softly on the lips. When Lily didn't move, he pulled back and looked at her shocked expression briefly then turned and walked off down the corridor away from her.
Lily watched him go, eyes wide before following him. As he passed the Transfiguration classroom she stepped in front of him, blocking his way.
"Yes?" He asked. She looked at him sceptically.
"You stole that kiss from me. Don't you think I deserve the chance to steal it back?"
He looked at her in confusion as she leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips, before moving forward and making the kiss more intense.
James looked shocked at first but then closed his eyes and kissed her back. It was when he started doing this that she pulled away.
"Thankyou," she smirked, "That was all I needed." She turned and walked away from him, leaving him standing there with a shocked expression on his face.
As she rounded the corner at the end of the corridor, she glanced back at him and a small smile flickered across her face. He was all hers.
