Darkness. Yes, this was his domain. The cloaked, masked man slowly cut the glass, careful to keep it silent. Inside, he spied his quarry. He carefully slid the glass to the floor and stepped inside. Like a shadow of the night, he crept toward his goal. However, as soon as he removed his reward, the Jaded Diamond, alarms blared and footsteps shook the building. Suddenly, the entire security force was there and aiming their guns at him. "There's nowhere to run! We have you surrounded, Masked Man. Give up now!"
"Do you really think I could be caught so easily?" the intruder chuckled. "For this is not my true body!" He yanked off the cloak and mask… to reveal the horrifying nothingness that was beneath. "This is my true form! Mwahahaha!" And like the shadow he was, he escaped out of the window, into the night. Guns firing off behind him.
Many called him a ghost. Others called him a myth. But I know, he is the invisible man. A man that was cursed to live out his days, unknown. Faceless. It is said that he was prideful and vain. That is why he was cursed. Now he haunts those vain and proud. One touch from his skin and you join him in the world between worlds. Neither Heaven nor Hell. Just nothingness. Unknown to all for all eternity.
