(A/N):

I was working on chapter three, and this just popped into my head xP

My heart began to fasten as I saw Sasuke lean against the rusty stop sign. He tilt his head towards me, a smile spreading across his pale lips, causing my heart to skip a beat. As I approached him, he leaned over and kissed me gently on the forehead. "Ready?" He asked through his cool breath. I nodded slightly and grabbed hold of his hand.

This is it. I've waited all day for this moment. I must ask him. I looked up, he was staring down at me, his hair shading over his onyx eyes.

I had forgotten what I was going to ask. I slid my fingertips through his hair, moving them so I could see his eyes. Sasuke simply smiled at me, fogging my mind even more.

Damn it, Don't lose focus.

My house was only a block away.

I desperately scrambled my mind searching for the right words.

"Do you love me?" I asked bluntly, too bluntly. Ugh, I was going to work up to that.

"Of course I do." He said without hesitation. My brows furrowed as I bit down hard on my bottom lip.

"I want to here you say it." I insisted.

Sasuke looked away, "I don't have too."

I glared at him slightly. "Why not?"

"Because..." His voice faded.

I nudged him slightly on the shoulder. "I just want to hear you say it in words." I insisted.

He sighed, still not looking at me. After a moment he said, "I can't..."

He cant? Why? He mustn't care for me at all... My eyes began to water, my vision becoming a blur.

"Then you don't love me..."

The tears began to spill over when he didn't respond.

We continue to walk in silence. Not one word escaped his lips. Silence. All I will probably receive from now on. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have put him in the spot like the. I'm so stupid...

He stopped to look at me when we reached my house. I starred depressingly into his eyes.

He broke the long silence. "Do you really want to know?"

I inhaled deeply and nodded my head softly.

He wrapped his arms around my waist, hugging me gently. I weakly hugged back.

Goose bumps ran down my spine as his cold breaths went in my ear.

Whispering he said, "Because three words are not enough..."
