Okay, this idea came to me while listening to "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey. This is just a preview, so if it's good tell me, and I'll keep writing more... Oooh, also inspired by "Healing" by freakyhazeleyes, probably my favorite Twilight fic EVER! It is a must read.
Edward Cullen looked out across the starry Detroit sky as he waited in line to board the bus. He wasn't sure where he was going or what he was gonna do once he got there. All he cared about was the fact he was going. Anywhere but here, he thought gloomily. Anywhere that won't remind me of her.
He battled with himself. That had become his daily routine. Don't think about anything but the present. Don't ever dare to remember the past. Don't care about the future.
Well, he thought as he shouldered his pack, here goes nothing.
... ... ...
"Mom! I'm leaving, goodbye!" Bella Swan screamed as her mother clutched her arm in a vise like grip.
"Bella, honey, don't leave me!" Her mother wailed in a drunken stupor.
The girl wrenched her hand free and practically sprinted towards the door, only stopping briefly to grab her backpack as she passed it in the hall.
She paused for a second after she had slammed the gate, listening to her mother's sobs. She almost walked back inside to apologize for what she had done, she almost went to cradle her mother in her arms as if she was the parent. But she had done that one too many times in the past few years.
It's time for me to move on, Bella thought. Time for me to live my life.
Those were her thoughts as she boarded the midnight train out of Forks, Washington.
So, what did ya think? Should I keep going???
