Steve cut through the water relentlessly. A silent and dark missile, gliding as fast as he can push himself. The morning had started normally for him: get up, light exercise. Then he had gotten ready for his morning swim. When he came down the stairs to head outside that's when he knew something was very wrong.
A note and a picture were taped on the outside of his glass patio door facing him. The picture featured two members of his team seemingly asleep on what looked like the deck of a boat. It was the shackles around their wrists and ankles and connected through rings on the bottom of the boat that made his eyes shoot to the paper next to it. It simply read Do you know where they are? I do. It gave a set of coordinates and a phone number. Steve immediately went for his phone and punched in his partner's number. After what seemed like forever, Danny finally answered.
"Do you know what time it is, Steve?" He griped.
"Get Chin and get over here, quick! Call Jerry, tell him I need him at headquarters pronto! Kono and Lou are in trouble!"
"On it!" Danny didn't waste time with words as he hung up. Steve then punched in the number that was provided on the note. A mechanized sounding voice answered.
"Good morning Commander McGarrett. Lovely day for a swim, no? I'll make this simple. You have three hours to reach the coordinates I provided to you. You will swim it. No backup. If you make it on time your team members might live. If not you can enjoy the fireworks. Good luck."
"Who are?!" Steve shouted, but the phone was already disconnected. Steve let his phone drop to the table and headed for the closet where he kept his navy gear. He then punched in Jerry's number.
"What's up Steve?"
"Jerry! Lou and Kono have been kidnapped. I am going to read you coordinates, I need satellite images over this area as recent as possible as soon as you get to the palace!" Steve read the coordinates as he heard the familiar screech of Danny's Camaro as he pulled up outside Steve's house.
"You got it, I'm almost there now." Jerry hung up as Danny came in the house, followed closely by Chin. Steve just pointed to his patio door as he quickly checked his gear.
"The guy just called me, I've got to swim it. No backup. I'm waiting for Jerry to pull up footage." Steve kept his explanation short as he pulled on his wetsuit.
"Woa, slow down a minute Steve! What exactly is going on?" Exclaimed Danny. Steve's phone rang before he could answer Danny. Steve put it on speaker.
"Jerry, what do you have?"
"I've got an image roughly six minutes old. Kono and Lou are on the boat. It's anchored and not moving, but Steve there looks to be a bomb on the outside hull." Steve's phone pinged and he looked at the picture. Sure enough, just above the water line was a bomb. The red numbers in the picture showed just over six hours before it would go off.
