Derpy Whooveslooked at Scootaloo and sighed, walking over to get her attention. "I can help you fly." she offered up, focusing her eyes on the younger pegasus trying to flap hard enough. Scootaloo agreed instantly and climbed onto Derpy's back and spread her tiny wings as wide as she could.
Derpy took off lowly and instructed Scootaloo on how her wings were to flap,"Match your wings to mine. See how your wing muscles seem to like it better if you try up and down stroaks from a windy spot? Relax your neck muscles and just allow your flying instincts to rise up out of their hiding spot. Let it come to you, don't force it. Welcome it happily." Scootaloo smiled softly as her wings spread out and flapped in time with the nice mare under her chest. Slowly Derpy felt Scootaloo rise from her back and fly just above her until her muscles got a bit tired.
Scootaloo didn't notice her 'role model' Rainbow Dash speed up and force her to the nearby ground, yelling at the kind mare that had taught her a good lesson. "Rainbow Dash! She was only helping me when you said you were too busy to teach me properly." Scootaloo cried, getting in front of her new teacher protectively. Derpy sighed and nuzzeled her short time student before Rainbow Dash kicked her in the chest and bucked her away from Scootaloo's side. Derpy landing painfully on the ground and let the tears fall if they wished. Scootaloo stared at her role model in shock as tears swelled up and she let out,"At least she was nice to me! You didn't even bother to help 'Poor' Scootaloo find her wings. Ms. Whooves did. And I do know of her but don't care! Ever think she's just faking?"
Scootaloo rushed over to Derpy's side as Rainbow Dash realised she had gone too far with her bucking and thought wrongly of the bubble marked mare. Derpy felt that her left foreleg was broken and limped next to Scootaloo to her Doctor, who gently healed it as Scootaloo explained what had happened. The Doctor sent a letter to Princess Celestia about it and glared at the moping Rainbow Dash as the guards arrived with the angry Sun Princess. As she was sent to probation at the Rainbow Factory, Doctor placed small glasses on Derpy's nose and her eye focus got better as Scootaloo's mother ran in, thanked her, and glared after Rainbow Dash.
