The Price To Be Saved
Emma opened the gate that stood behind Excalibur and walked down the corridor made from a stone formation. Her expression was firm and unfeeling as she entered a stone chamber in which you could find Merlin. The once great and powerful sorcerer chained to the wall with a sad and hopeless expression as he made eye contact with her. She waved her hand with ease causing his chains to vanish and a tray of food to appear in front of him,
"Eat up" she ordered firmly before turning to leave and he looked at her sadly as he rubbed his aching wrists,
"You can beat the darkness Emma if you let me help you then you can beat it" he called after her causing her to stop and turn with a firm glare as she approached him and knelt down before using her red nail polished finger to tilt his chin higher,
"There is a price" she said firmly,
"There is always a stinking price" she whispered causing Merlin to look down sadly as Emma released his chin before standing,
"The woman you loved" she said suddenly,
"What was her name?" she asked with an unfeeling tone but Merlin didn't look up,
"You already know her name" he grumbled causing her to smirk,
"I'm asking again" she whispered with a snarl and Merlin was silent before looking at her firmly,
"Nimue" he answered and Emma smirked, waving her hand causing a chair to appear as she sat down,
"To lose a loved one to the dark one" she said with a smirk,
"Tragic" she murmured causing Merlin to glare at her but her smirk didn't fade as she leant forward,
"But for your loved one to become the dark one….. Well that's an entirely different matter" she whispered before waving her hand causing the dagger of the dark one to appear in her hand and she smirked as she brushed her hand against the blade softly,
"Generations of names have graced this dagger's surface" she began as she began turning the dagger in her hand causing the past dark one's name to be shown with each turn causing Merlin to frown,
"No….. Please" he begged hopelessly with each name he saw and Emma smirked as she paused,
"Oh but I'm just too curious" she whispered before throwing the dagger up in the air and it spun repeatedly before finally landing back in her hand and she smirked,
"The name of the very first dark one" she whispered before kneeling in front of him once more with a firm expression,
"Read it" she ordered firmly through gritted teeth but Merlin didn't have to look as a tear fell down his cheek,
"Nimue" he whispered and Emma smirked before standing,
"So tell me… Is the price you told me back in Camelot really worth paying so I can be free?" she asked in a bored tone but Merlin didn't answer as he looked down sadly causing her to smirk,
"I didn't think so" she said turning and left,
"That food better be gone when I come back" she ordered firmly. Merlin knew better than to anger her whilst the darkness consumed her.
Oooooooo What price did Merlin expect Emma to pay back in Camelot? :) I hope you all enjoyed this one shot.
Kind Regards,
