"JACE LIGHTWOOD! DO. NOT. OPEN. THAT. DOOR." Alec beamed at Jace.

"Oh, you mean this one?" Jace asked as he pushed past Alec and through the door the library.

"JACE!"

He walked past Hodge's big desk that was supported by two angels on each side and started running when he saw Clary sitting on the red sofa in the corner of the Library. Kneeling next her was Izzie, who was in the process of placing a healing rune on her arm. He knelt down next to her he took her hand.

"What the hell were you thinking Clary!? Going out there alone?!" Jace shouted down at Clary who was staring blankly at him.

"Jace, please.." Izzie began.

"Clary! Did you even hear me?!"

"JACE! she can't hear you!"

Jace stared at Izzie his eyes brighter than ever.

"What do you mean.. she can't hear me?"

Izzie sat back on her knees and placed her stele on the ground.

"She.. we had an encounter with a Remox demon... We tried to fight it but it caught Clary's arm and pulled her back. I launched my blade into it's heart but not before it could get some poison into her..." Izzie said in a soft voice.

"What does this mean?"

"It means, Jace she will forget everything, and everyone that she hadn't seen three minutes before the incident."

"But.. the memories.. ten years of memories.. all gone."

"I'm sorry.." Began Alec but was abruptly cut off by Jace.

"SORRY?! Clary gets hurt and now you're apologising for someone who can't remember!?"

"Jace.."

"No. Just don't." Jace said sternly now turnning back to Izzie.

"You said that she can't hear me. Why can't she hear me?" Jace began, raising his voice.

"It's only temporary, but once she can hear she will be very confused and may start to panick. You and Alec should go she won't remember you, but she will remember me."

"Any reason why she would remember you and not me?!"

"I was there with her within the three minutes before the attack and like I said she only remembers people that she saw or talked to three minutes before the attack."

Jace let go of Clary's hand and stormed out of the library, and down the hall.

"I'll get him.." Alex began, running down the hall after Jace.

"Oh Clary..."
