I found this old fanfiction on my ipod, its just a quick one shot but I've been wanting to upload it for a while.
Hal visits Leo's Barbershop
Hal got out of his car and locked it up, he looked up and took in the shop sign, his old home. He closed his eyes and took a breath. Once inside he ran his hand along one of that chairs, he looked in the mirror and saw Leo's old mirror joke. He grinned at the memory, allowing it to run through his mind like an old picture show.
Hal found himself upstairs walking towards Leo's bedroom, first he removed the restraints used for transformations he could hear Pearl in his ear whispering that she knew Leo would survive, he's a fighter. He slowly and carefully re-made the bed and opened up the curtains allowing light to consume the dead room. He straightened up a photo of Leo with his arms stretched wide, Hal noted that Himself and Pearl were in this photograph but couldn't be seen, He took in Leo's grinning face and his throat grew a lump that made it hard to swallow. It dawned on him that he'd never see his friends again, never hear Leo's jokes or taste Pearl's Sunday roast. Vampires don't get ghosts they just fade with the wind, all that would remain of him would be the clothes he died in.
He sat on Leo's arm-chair by the window and allowed himself to become apart of it, he unfolded the note he always kept in his top pocket. "I'm so proud of you Hal." it read. Leo's thick accent ran through his head again and again, he held the note close to him.
"Goodbye Leo" He whispered as he left the place behind. This was his goodbye that he never got to say. He'd miss his old friend.
