My Favorite Word
Hi, my name is Konan. I was born in Ame, but me and my mother moved to Konoha after my father died in a terrorist attack in America 9-11-00. I was only 5 years old at the time, and didn't really remember it. I sigh sadly, because it was so sad that I never go to really meet my father, that he won't be there for my wedding, to scare away boyfriends, or to be a grandpa.I walk towards my new apartment complex, which was pretty nice, not a broke down ratty old place. My mother had this great idea of me getting a fresh start, to be independent one day, and was stuck on it ever since, so I can have more opportunities . Yeah, well that isn't the best idea, leaving a high school junior to her own devices. I hear my ringtone go off, probably my mom to check up on me, or as I see it, to annoy the crap outta me. "Hello?" I say "Hi sweetie, it's Mommy calling to see how you're getting settled in." she squealed in a high pitched voice, almost too sugary sweet. "Well, I'm almost there, just one more block." I say tired, that she was too excited for my taste "Awwww, my little flower is growing up!" she said in a gee-darling-I'm-gonna-go-party-with-my-friends-and-you-won't-ever-find-out kind of voice,"Mom, please, I swear I will hang up on you, now quit the drama, and no, you are not allowed to go partying at your age, it's not mature for old adults. " I say, catching her sneakiness. "You ruin all of my fun!" she wined "I'm sure you'll live; now I have to go." I say, wanting to end the conversation ASAP. "I love you sweetie, and try not to get expelled." "I promise I'll really try this time, love you too." I press the end call button on my iPhone 4 and then walk up the steps and then walk into the main office, lobby whatever it's called. I sigh then get on the elevator. I see this guy with cheddar cheese hair run into the elevator with me. "HI MY NAME IS NARUTO AND THIS IS MY BEST FRIEND HARUNO SAKUR-""SHUT UP YOU BAKA!" a blur of pink ran into the elevator, smacking the guy named Naruto on the back of the head." "Oh, um, hi my name is Sakura I didn't see you there." The pink haired girl greets me. "Sup' I'm Konan." "Well, like I said I'm Naruto, so are you new here?" "Yeah, my mom wanted me to be independent, so she bought me an apartment, C 24." "Cool, we live across the hall from each other!" Sakura said excited. Then the elevator door opens on my floor, but Naruto stays inside of it and presses a button. Sakura and I start to walk down the hallway telling the other more about ourselves. For once today, I feel like I'm gonna make it, that maybe this place isn't that bad.
