Life can be annoying sometimes if you're suspected as a mass murderer of the greatest detective, L. During the first week of Yagami Light's freedom from his confinement, he's constantly in front of a computer screen, getting naps for sleep, and being chained to an obsessed, sugar-addicted detective who isolates himself from the rest of the civilization. That makes Light's life a living hell.
"…"
"Yagami-kun?"
Silence.
"Yagami-kun, are you all right?"
"You think I'm freakin' all right?! In this atmosphere, I think I'll go insane here!"
"…" L went silent as he bowed his head and continued to work.
What the…does he think I'll fall for that amateurish move?! Well, better do something to go on with life…
"Look, I'm sorry for my attitude a while ago, but what I really need is just a break. Even for just a day."
" All right. But just---"
"And I'm gonna get you to come with me whether you like it or not. I swear you're gonna get diabetes by the time you got 26."
"………WHY?!"
"I already said, it's for your health AND because you're also human like us, you also need it."
L noticed that the other members of the investigation team are all worn out because they ran out of leads where to start searching for Kira since L released Misa and Light from confinement.
L sighed. "All right. Everyone will take a break on Sunday. I hope you'll make the most out of that day."
Light just grinned as the other members breathed a sigh of relief.
The following Sunday…
All the members of the investigation team, well, some of them hesitantly, agreed to go to a newly-built amusement park which has a board saying "GOT A GANG? THEN COME AND HAVE FUN HERE IN LALA LAND WITH FREE ENTRANCE AND EAT-ALL-YOU-CAN AT JADE PALACE!"
"Wow! Look at all those lights! Hey, during my childhood, I wasn't allowed to ride an octopus. Let's go there!" Ide's eyes widened as he was dragged away by the childish Matsuda.
"Oh well, I'll just go sightseeing here. Do you want to go with me Aizawa?" asked Soichiro.
"Sure thing. Light, can you and Ryuuzaki manage your time?"
"Oh…yeah."
"So…see you later." Soichiro and Aizawa walked away.
Silence.
"So where'd you want to go?" Light asked Ryuuzaki.
"10% increase."
"Hey, I'm not planning to lure you away from people and murder you and, in case you've forgotten, we're having a DAY-OFF. I hope that would stick itself in your brain." Light said through gritted teeth.
Yeah yeah, I know. Ryuuzaki thought while suppressing a grin.
"So anyway, why don't we ride the ferris wheel?"
Nice one! Be ready for a surprise ambush Ryuuzaki!
"Fine. Let's go."
With so many people in the park, Light and L luckily got to ride the ferris wheel unharmed.
"Aren't you going to start sitting normally? It's disturbing." Light said as Ryuuzaki took on his "normal" sitting position.
"Raito-kun, I don't care how disturbing it is. Do I need to remind you that my intelligence dec---"
"Yeah yeah, you don't need to remind me. I'm just saying that it looks more proper if you sit like a normal human being." Light said.
"You mean I'm not normal?" Ryuuzaki asked, looking a bit hurt. "No! It's just…forget it." Light sighed in defeat.
As the ferris wheel turned, L admired the beauty of the city while Light took his time gazing at the apple of his eye. Just as L started to feel someone watching him, the ferris wheel stopped just at the topmost part.
"What the---"
L was cut off as soft lips crushed with his. While L gasped, Light took his time invading L's mouth with his skillful tongue. As Light broke the kiss, he leaned into L's ear.
"I want you."
