This is Love

Soda and Samantha sat on Pony and Soda's bed.

Soda stared deep into Samantha's blue eyes.

"There's something really important I wanted to talk to you about. That's why I took you back to my place, so none of the guys wont hear." Soda said nervously.

Soda and Samantha left Ponyboy, Johnny, Dally, Steve and Two-Bit at the drive in.

Soda stared at the floor.

"Well, what is it?" she replied kindly.

Soda broke his silence "I've known you since grade school, and you've been there for me through thick and thin and I couldn't ask for a better friend."

Soda swallowed hard and Samantha paying very close attention to every word that came out Soda's mouth.

Soda continued "You may not know this, but a few months back I hand a girl that I was madly in love with, but she moved to Florida with her grandparent, we still kept in contact with each other and a few weeks later she sent me a letter saying she has a new boyfriend and I haven't heard from her since."

That was the first time a girl broken his heart.

"I'm sorry to hear that Soda, maybe she'll come back someday, you never know." she sounded positive.

"I don't care about that anymore… all I care about is you."

Samantha was looking deep into Soda's eyes.

"Soda, I-I don't know what to say, I didn't know you cared about me this much."

Soda continued "What I'm trying to say is, I love you, you've got that smile that only heaven can make, and baby everything that I have is yours you will never go cold or hunger, I'll be there when your insecure and let you know that your always lovely girl." Soda had tearful eyes.

Samantha wrapped her arms around Soda and whispered. "Nothing will ever come between us." A tear came down her face.

Soda and Samantha let go of each other and stared into each others eyes.

Soda finally said "Will you be girl?"

Samantha blushed.

"I would love to Sodapop Curtis." Samantha said with a smile.

Soda, leaned forward and started passionately kissing Samantha.

"Soda, wait…" Samantha said instantly.

Samantha was a little uncomfortable kissing Soda, but she didn't want him to know that.

"what's the matter, baby?" He said softly but curiously.

"Lets go back to the drive-in, we can do this later."

"Yeah, your right…should we tell the others about our relationship. I mean it'll be pretty obvious that were in a relationship, if we don't tell them." Soda giggled.

"Sure, why not, they'll be happy when they hear it." she said while getting up from Pony and Soda's bed.

Soda got up from his bed following Samantha.

Soda and Samantha walked out the bedroom.

"Alright, ready to go baby?" Soda asked Samantha.

"Ready when you are!" Samantha replied.

"Umm.. Know what, come here for a second." Soda said

Soda went into the kitchen followed by Samantha and got a piece of chocolate cake and chocolate milk from the fridge.

"I got hungry, want some? it's really good." Soda said while biting a piece of the cake.

Soda was back to his childish ways.

"No, thank you Soda, but thanks for asking." Samantha giggled.

"I know you want some Sam, just take one bit. Here comes the train, choo choo."

Samantha bit some of the cake and drank some milk.

"isn't delicious? I eat chocolate cake almost everyday."

"Yeah, it's great, I think I'll grab a piece when we come back from the drive-in."

Soda finished the rest of the cake and milk.

"Alright, now I'm ready to go!" he said with enthusiasm.

Soda and Samantha walked back to the drive-in holding hand.
