Happy Birthday, Love Remy

Remus stood on the arm of the couch, stretching to the ceiling of his lovers quarters. He pinned a long red and gold streamer to the ceiling and then jumped from the couch. He grabbed a bunch of multicoloured streamers from a cardboard box marked 'Blasted Decorations', written naturally by Severus, and he hung them over a lamp shade, flicking the lamp on and grinning as the colours radiated around the room.

Remus ran into his lovers bedroom and dragged a bag of balloons back to the main room with him, having to gently squeeze them threw the door. He ripped the back open and let the helium balls of colour rise to the ceiling where they bumped and nudged each other. For a few moments, Remus grinned up at them. He had gotten them made specially with 'Happy Birthday, Severus, love Remy' written across them in silver.

Remus knew Severus would throw a tantrum at the sight of them. No one was to know his pet name for Remus. It was only on very rare occasions did Severus call him Remy in public, and that was when they were relatively alone or patrolling the corridors at night.

POP!!

Remus yelped as the balloon shrivelled and landed on his head. He tossed it away scowling and proceeded to toss more steamers across the couch and on the book shelves. He hung a 'Birthday Boy' banner across the room and then beamed.

Finally the room was complete. Remus stood in the centre of the lounge, hands on hips, legs spread apart and a look of pure triumph on his face. His grin spread from ear to ear and Remus giggled again. He stuck a party to his head and tightened it below his chin, then picked up a mouth blower, and a party popper.

"Nox," he chuckled, outing the lights and shuffling behind the entrance door to Severus's quarters.

Severus Snape stepped smoothly into the Corridor of William the Woeful. His heeled boots clicked in rhythm with each long stride. He could feel a headache approaching him and he breathed in deeply, exhaling noisily only after he had rounded the corner towards his quarters. He passed the statue of Salazar Slytherin and stopped outside a portrait of The Battle of the Meagre Speckled Goblins and sighed deeply.

"Serpentimes." he said gruffly and the portrait slid to one side.

Severus bowed his head and pinched the bridge of his nose tightly, clenching his eyes and preparing for what awaited him. Severus hated birthdays.

Sweat dripped from his forehead and dribbled down the bridge of his nose. His breathing came in deep irrational breaths and his legs felt fit to explode with sensation.

Remus slid up from underneath the blankets and rested his head on Severus' chest, kissing the mans pecs.

He grinned and kissed the mans neck.

"How'd you like birthdays now?" he smirked.

"There alright," Severus drawled, sniffing and then catching Remus's chin between his thumb and fore finger. "But there wonderful now that I have you. Thank you Remy."

Remy beamed.

So there you have it, another one of my little one-shots. I've become dependant on them as filler inners while I organise chapters for my other story. Thank you if you've taken the time to read and review.
